HTTMT- Left & Right Driver Foot Board Floorboard Kit Compatible With Honda Goldwing 01-17 GL1800 13-16 F6B 14-15 Valkyrie [P/N: MT216-130+280-019]

Received today the floor board kit for my 2017 Goldwing Nav ABS. Product fit & finish is good however the shipper (probably to save on shipping cost) packed them along with the luggage rack which I had ordered along with this, due to which both got very minor scratches. All fasteners included, NO installation instructions. Not that anyone would need as its just 4x Allen screws, no rocket science to install.Yet to fix it but found that all the hardware on the floor boards were loose and needs to be re-tightened using Locitite 242 Blue to ensure they don't come out due to vibrations while riding. This is disappointing and that's why 4 stars. Other then that so far so good. Awaiting weekend to fix them and would review them after using it, if anything specific to be pointed out.All in all Go for it.

Have ridden HD with footboards for years. Trying a GW on for size now in my older years and really missed the floorboards I'm used to.

Footboards installed easy and we’re comfortable, brake pedal was too tight to slide on brake shaft and when I tried to spread the clamp it broke. I sent everything back for exchange new ones didn’t come and it’s been over 3 weeks

Let me give you a little bit of my background, I have been doing mechanics for over 50 years and I have been a Mechanical Engineer for over 30 years. Most of that time in designing. So, when I see a product like these floorboards and how much they are out of sync with the design of the bike that they are supposed to fit, then you have a problem. Your design engineers and or manufacturing engineers are not doing there job. These floorboard should be redesigned to fit the standard model of Honda Gold Wing like the one I own. The floorboard and heel toe shifter should be parallel to each other and the floorboard to the mount should be perpendicular. I am not going to return the floorboards as there are not many if any other choices out there. Instead I am going to design a fix for them so that a rider will be comfortable using them. The floorboard should not DROOP down when the rider is using it.

I installed the left footboard with ease (heel and toe shifter). On the other footboard, I installed the brake pedal and it broke at the pinch bolt while tightening it. I am very disappointed with this. I wish I could get another brake pedal but I cant afford to purchase another kit for $250. Im using the original brake pedal and it doesnt fit correctly with the new floorboard. Hard to use the brake pedal. It doesnt work properly.

The right hand side board is I'll fitting, and the locking mechanism is a little wonkyOverall just poor quality for the price!

Looks great. Easy to install. Cross bolt on brake lever is poor quality , to soft and to short. Suggest changing to a longer grade five steel bolt.
