THE.PERFECT.GLOSS
Burt's tinted glasses rival anything in the marketplace, including high end brands. The colors are beautiful, there is no taste or minty annoyance and they last like any gloss does - very moisturizing. You can't go wrong!

Love the tint
Keeps my lips soft and pretty with just a touch of pink. Lasts most of the day. I keep it in my pocket all day and it doesn't melt. Will definitely buy again.

Love the light color but extremely drying
I really wanted to love this. I bought it because I like Burt's Bees regular lip balm so much. And I decided to use Burt's standard balm after lots of research into lip balms and the so-called lip balm "addiction".I'm also not much of a lipstick/lip gloss person and as far as color, this is near perfect. I love that I can have just the lightest hint of color, rather than something loud and obvious.Unfortunately, regarding moisture, it's like the exact opposite of Burt's regular lip balm. The bad lip balms tend to have irritating ingredients and/or too many occlusive ingredients - which create too much of an impervious barrier and your lips can't breathe and keep moisture on their own. They cause you to feel dry constantly, therefore having to reapply the balm constantly. Viscous cycle. The good ones have more semi-occlusive ingredients - protective and moisturizing without irritation or totally blocking out air and environmental moisture.Burt's is definitely one of the good ones and their standard balm is recommended by dermatologists. This stuff is one of the bad ones. Within a half hour my lips feel more dried out than before I applied anything. I even tried using Burt's regular balm first, then this over it and vice versa. Nope, still really drying.Looking at the ingredients, I suspect it's all the waxes in this product that are the problem. If you compare it to Burt's regular balm, it has only one wax: beeswax. This one has *three* other waxes besides beeswax. It doesn't matter if those waxes are "natural" or "botanical". I mean, raw petroleum products can be considered "natural", too, but I don't want those on my lips either. In the end, I'll not return this. I'll just use it sparingly until I find something else. And I certainly won't be purchasing it again.

Works Really Well
This was the first time that I've tried Burt's Bees Lip Balm. My lips have been cracked and peeling for several days. I was using another well-known brand name and it wasn't helping. The first time I applied Burt's Bees, it was like a soothing balm on my lips. It went on easily and smoothly. The tint was really pretty. I am now a loyal Burt's Bees consumer.
