Works fabulously on Canon HF G50.
Ensure the switch is set to the Canon position and it works great (for Canon cameras). The lever to zoom in and out can be pushed in gently for a slow and smooth zoom or press harder to speed it up. This is actually smoother and more controllable than the controls on the camera. I have connected this through 8m of 2.5mm extension cable and it functions great.
