ConnollyLeather Care Cleaner

Dilutes 12 to 1, have a spray bottle handy. Use with a microfiber or foam pad and it works great. Just like the other Connolly leather conditioner, just works great and really knocked out any curiosity to try other products.

My leather steering wheels have a rough life, and usually wind up hard, shiny, peeling and just a plain mess. Wanted to keep that from happening with the new car, so shopped around for a real leather cleaner. This seems to fit the bill. Mixed according to the directions with warm water and cleaned the steering wheel and one seat bolster to see how the leather would react. The product did a great job of cleaning with no ill effects on the material.

Connolly Leather Care Cleaner was used on a 2015 Jaguar XF Sport.I would not think that the leather in the car would have gotten as dirty in 4 months as the remaing water showed so I have to say that it performed as intended and the results showed. It will be the cleaning solution for my sofas unlike the Connolly Hide Care which has gone in the garbage.If interested, please, refer to the separate review of it.I purchased Connolly's leather cleaner at the suggestion of another website and I would recommend it even though it contains ammonia but as long as it is used per the recommended ratio 1 part Connolly to 12 parts warm water, it should be fine but it is also the reason that I did not give it 5 stars due to the mixing.

I've been using this for years. It's basically just lanolin and white spirit. It works very well and Connolly are also the people who produce the hides for Rolls-Royces and Bentleys, so I take that as a valid endorsement. The only problem I have with it is that it's expensive. I can't help thinking that if I went out and bought lanolin and white spirit I could make it up myself for a fraction of the price. Make sure the cap is always on tight. The white spirit evaporates really easily and you find yourself left with a rather unusable solid residue otherwise.

The secret to keeping fine hides perfect is (1) keeping them clean, and (2) feeding them with nutrients. For both steps I use Connolly products as they are the company that produced the hides for my Rolls Royce to start with, and they have never let me down. Do follow the included instructions and have a supply of q-tips to get in tight places. Don't slosh water on! Be gentle.

Used for years, great product

The leather in our car is beige. There was lots of blue on the edges from my jeans which nothing was taking it off. The Connolly cleaner got just about all of it off. You don't use much of the cleaner so this bottle will go a long way!!
