Wonderful tool to get people to unplug
The book is an exceptional catalyst for sparking engaging and thought-provoking conversations, fostering connections among readers through their unique responses. It encourages individuals to step outside their comfort zones as they delve into various ethically and morally complex questions that challenge their perspectives. This thought-provoking book has become a favorite at social gatherings, functioning as an icebreaker that ignites lively discussions during events or lengthy car rides.I have gifted numerous copies to friends, selecting it as a meaningful present that enhances their experiences and enriches their social circles. For years, I have turned to this book to facilitate the exploration of topics that might otherwise be uncomfortable to discuss openly, creating a safe space for dialogue. With its recent updates, the content remains relatable and resonant for today’s audiences, offering significant value and return on investment for those who engage with it.

I loved this book and if you love question and answer books. You may want to check out this one.
As someone well into their senior years, who for more than 7 decades has been a voracious reader of all kinds of books on subjects from A to Z and from the scientific to the esoteric. This is why while browsing on Amazon books when I came across this 300 page soft cover book (The book of questions by Gregory Stock, Ph.D.) I decided to purchase it.First off, even though I thought this book was interesting and thought-provoking; nevertheless, I thought it lacked a little organization in that it should have had a table of contents with specific topics areas covered. It also had some really stupid, (at least in my personal opinion), questions in this collection that I thought was strange and totally unrealistic. In conclusion, if you are interested in a book full of interesting, thought-provoking, and many unusual questions you may want to check out this volume. In general, I did love reading this book.Rating: 5 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Tactical principles of the most effective combative systems).

I thought the original Book of Questions was a must-have, but this is the one you need
When I was young, my parents had this book and used to (gently) demand that we "play" this book from time to time. It was always thought provoking and always an ice breaker.Fast forward to when I moved into my own apartment in college: they were delighted to dump many of their well-worn possessions--including this book--into my lap. I used this book many a time with new and old friends to get to know them better, both in college, in my 20s and beyond. It's a great after dinner activity at a dinner party when the conversation has lulled, because everybody gets to know a lot about everybody else and everybody seems to like it. The questions, a mix of "what would you do in this situation" and "what's more important to you: x or y?" and other psychological questions, are thought provoking and entertaining. Of course, there's no right or wrong answer and every time I've used the book, people have seemed to enjoy it quite a bit.I recently ordered this revised version and was really happy with the changes. First, there are more questions: 291, up from 217. Next, and perhaps more importantly, the "follow up" questions that some of the questions had have been moved from the back of the book to a light blue font below the relevant questions. This way, you don't have to clumsily flip back and forth and find the question number. It's a small change but a definite improvement. Finally, and most importantly, the questions are fresher, updated for today. In sum, if you already have The Book of Questions, I highly recommend buying the revised and updated version, and if you don't already haven't the Book of Questions, I highly recommend buying this revised and updated version and trying it out with your spouse, your family, your friends--it's a great way to get to know people and quite fun!

Great book for getting to know someone more
I was first introduced to this book in the late 80s & have pulled it out many times throughout the years - both to get to know someone better & to revisit the questions myself as I mature.I have searched for it for 4 years since my last move & finally decided to buy another copy. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it has been Revised & Updated over the years! Kind of like a bonus for having to repurchase it, lol. :)I'm glad to have a copy in my possession again & I appreciate the refreshers that have been done. I have a new partner in my life now, so I was excited to share these questions & to learn about each other some more. But so many of the questions are still along the same lines, so unfortunately it's novelty can wear off fairly quickly. However, it's a book that I always want to have to pull out again every so often - whether it be to learn more about my partner, myself, friends, etc. Remember, there's no "right" or "wrong" answers, only learning about each other & having some fun!

Brain stretching in a box!!
We drive on trips a bunch --- and while we easily talk for hours --- these cards are excellent entertainment and excellent thought provoking conversation starters. We went through several questions on out last trip --- and I (because Ibwas driving) had to say "uncle" because of the depth of the responses they evoked. The box even states -- don't (just) answer the question--- give it some thought and discuss your responses.LOL, make it challenging *not* just saying "yeah, I agree with you on that".Stretch it out a bit and make them subjects for (playful, friendly) debate. We love them and look forward to our next trip.
