Pros: Automatic start and stop, stops once pencil has a, 'sharp' or 'blunt' tip depending on which nib option you've set, easy to take apart and clean " a little challenge in the beginning to reassemble the sharpener but once you got it down it'll be no problem. Gives solutions on the paper document if you get a jam in the blade, cleaning the shaving box, and how to replace the blade.(Using a can of compressed air works great to remove pencil shavings and or lead build up on the blade) Great for all pencil shapes cylindrical, hexagonal, triangle, etc. You can order a replacement blade later down the road for the sharpener if you want.Note: It does state in the paper manual on page four section 5Q 'Chew up pencils and/or cannot cut off after sharpening' be careful if using this sharpener with the Derwent Drawing pencils or any pencils with a very soft core. The auto stop was not an issue with the Faber Castell Polychromos, Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor, and Caran d'Ache Luminance pencils I tested.The Derwent Drawing pencils have a soft core. In my experience the sharpener does not auto shut off once it reaches a sharp point. Probably because the pencil lead can and does break easily at times inside the sharpener. So the machine keeps trying to re-sharpen the pencil. Just place the pencil in for two seconds. Take it out and check the tip, if it's not sharpened enough pop it back in for another two seconds. Best pencil sharpener ever. I’m a middle school teacher and I bought one of these like 3 years ago and it was the best. And my students sharpen their pencils way too often so this thing got USED. I think the blades eventually lost their sharpness so it stopped sharpening well and the wood of the pencil wouldn’t get shaved off well so the writing tip wouldn’t be exposed on one side. I bought another and this thing is even better than I remember! Sharpens so fast and so pointy, even the kids are amazed.

This is by far the best pencil sharpener I've ever used. The best part is that the machine stops when the pencil lead is exactly the length you specify. There is a simple dial on the front that allows you to set the sharpness of the pencil. It doesn't take up much space, and you can easily see when the shavings need to be emptied. Dumping the shavings was also easy. I never plan to buy another pencil sharpener again.

Perfectly powerful little sharpener. We've used it to sharpener all sorts of wrinting pencils, color pencils and softer charcoal pencils. My only complaint is that my kids have a hard time holding on to their pencils without letting them spin while they're being sharpened. But they are young and their tiny little hands wont stay that tiny forever.

This is a great pencil sharpener for a classroom, though not as good as the wireless option by Afmat. I’m not sure why, but this one needs a good shake sometimes to continue sharpening, an issue I haven’t had with the wireless version. Still, I’m glad to have this handy tool for my students.

This sits by our printer and is in near daily use. We use the blunt setting which creates a long point but with a squared tip so it doesn’t fracture on first use. The machine is reliable, speedy and works with all pencils and crayons we’ve tried in it. It stops quickly so it doesn’t over sharpen either. What I will say, is that it cuts a long nib, so if you subsequently use a regular manual pencil sharpener, you will waste some wood. We’re not looking back.

I bought this as a replacement for the one I couldn't find (that is, until I bought this one, and then I nearly tripped over the old one), and lo and behold, I like it better. It is faster, has two settings for sharpness control, and seems to go faster and waste less pencil.

I absolutely love this electric pencil sharpener. It is very easy to use for both adults and kids and the pink color is beautiful. The pencils get so sharp and I really like the fact that you can choose how sharp you want them to be. It takes very little time to sharpen and you can use any kind of pencil in it.
