Furniture HotSpot Nailhead Cocktail Table Trunk - Espresso

We ordered two matching end tables along with this coffee table and assembled the end tables first. This coffee table assembled exactly the same way as the end tables so by the time we starting putting this together we were somewhat experts and it took only about 30 minutes to assemble. All the pre-drilled holes matched perfectly and the finished table looks like a million bucks. It's a nice size for a medium living room, though not large enough to hide a body if that's what you're planning on using it for. I also wouldn't recommend using the side handles to lift it if you have anything weighty inside as the handles are more decorative than functional. We are two senior citizens and I think the table will hold up very well. Your mileage may vary, especially if you have kids who spill their Fruit Loops and like to fling their toys around the room.

Pkg came very quickly with all parts in box. Assembled in about an hour by one person; however, it would be helpful to have a second pair of hands available during the process. All parts are well labeled and correspond to the instructions. I might mention a couple things to keep in mind during assembly: (1) After you have the side walls in place, make sure the predrilled holes are positioned at the back of the trunk, (2) Since you can attached the hinges either way you want, be sure to take note of how the first hinge looks on the trunk and attach the second hinge the same way. The trunk is really attractive, heavy and sturdy. It looks much more expensive than it was! Only small negative is that because the hinge attaches to the back on the outside, if it is placed where it can be viewed from all sides, the back doesn't look quite as nice. However in my case, the trunk will not be viewed from the backside so it's perfect!

Great product! It has a beautiful design Blends very well with the living room... You can put it in the middle or you can put it on the side as decoration it has plenty of space if you want to store something beautiful... Be careful the sticks that they have in the catalog are not 100% accurate... There are small holes in the side walls from the inside that are supposed to be oriented towards the back however they don't say that in the catalog so after we assembled 90% of the coffee table we noticed the small holes that we're supposed to be in the back... And there was no other way but to break it apart and rebuild it again which would take an extra 2 hours of work... Instead we had to open our own holes using the screw which gave us extra efforts...

Exactly like pictured. Pretty sturdy. Sorta a pain to put together, my problem was the screws are very flimsy and the heads broke off leaving a partial screw in the wood. I broke two, one which helped hold on a handle no big deal the other on the hinge which made a huge difference on how the lid fit. Both broke while using a manual screw driver so be careful!

I needed a coffee table for my a little bit narrow family room and something I could put a pillow on and use as a foot stool when I sit on the sofa with a dog on my left and the other dog on my right. In NO way would I have room for a coffee table and a foot stool. I also wanted storage to put throws and pillows for when I do get to lay down on the sofa. Sometimes the dogs allow me to do that. I now have a place to set a drink, have a nice high foot stool and cleaned up the throws and pillows. ONLY, problem I did have putting it together was that for some reason the shorter right and left sides were not marked and when it came time for the hinges and top to be put on, the Predrilled holes where not on the correct side. I did have to take it apart and re-essembled it correctly. Partially My fault partially the manufacture's instructions for not showing that there were pre-drilled holes, Worth more than every penny. Just look for the pre-drilled holes for the hinges.

So...It's a beautiful piece. I may add some casters to the legs for height & ease of moving. Its HEAVY. It's got lots of room for blankets, games, etc. The hinges are iffy... I'd not suggest anything kids will use, without an adult.Now...I was sent someone else's return!!!! In itself, that would be o.k. IF they checked it AND it's marked as an open box... but it's full of little DINGS!! AND I know this because their original invoice, full of their info, was in the box!!!!! THAT freaked me out.The directions are the WORSE... no their online video directions are even worse! After a day & a half of trying & quitting in frustration, numerous times.... it's finally together. I think the hinges are still screwed up from the person who had it before me. I wanted to return it... but not enough to start over & I already gave away my old table, too. lolThose who said it was easy...I commend you because I'm naturally good at this kind of thing!!! I'd recommend the "expert install!"My lower rating was from the company sending me USED PRODUCT THAT IS DAMAGED!!!!!! And not responding to my Facebook plea since their website was a security breach. Boo hiss!
