I saw that some reviewers did not get a template, and neither did I. However, measuring for the cut was not difficult and it is super easy to install.As for durability, yes it's a flimsy feeling thing before you install it, but it's sturdy enough once installed. The door comes with two cup holders and it holds two full cans of cola and does not seem to be sweating it.Yes, it will leak if exposed to heavy rain or splash-over, but it does not claim to be waterproof so it is what it is. I wouldn't store valuable or vulnerable items in it anyway. It does have two drain holes in the rear of the box in case water invades. It's great for a small tacklebox, paperwork in a ziploc bag, stuff like that. 5 stars based on price and quality. I wouldn't pay more for it, but it's a good value.

When this box arrived it showed up without keys. I contacted the seller and they sent a set of keys that worked perfectly. I had to drill new holes for the new screws but it fit exactly as I needed. I enjoy this glovebox for the price and value. Thank you.

Works great for what it is. Fit perfectly into my fishing pontoon that has little to no storage options. It is NOT water tight. It has small drain holes in the bottom if it does happen to collect water. The way the lid fits over the housing I can't imagine it would get very much water in it, especially when it is under the bimini top on my pontoon. However, in a driving rain or lengthy water activity I would imagine a little water WOULD get in.I knew this going in so I have no problem rating it 5 stars. It locks well enough and the mechanisms feel solid. It is plastic though, so if you keep valuables in it and expect them to be thief proof you are kidding yourself. You are just keeping the honest people honest.Attwood, would you please make an affordable glovebox similar to this that actually seals with a gasket!? The ones I found all start at $100+

The lockbox was very sturdy, however, couldn’t open the box. The key would turn, but still remained locked. I tried both keys, but no luck. I’m going to request a replacement and see if that product works. I’ll send an update.Received another lockbox today. Same issue! The keys don’t work and I can’t open the door. Sending back and not ordering again! Extremely disappointed! Too bad there isn’t a zero star option.

ordered this for a friend for his boat. The price point is great! You just have to be sure to check the product as the first one I ordered had the keys securely taped inside the glove box yet there was NO actual lock. And the lock from the previous broken glove box would not fit.So I returned the product, looking at the price point of other similar items they were almost double the price. So I decided to take another chance and ordered one again. The second one was all there, lock, Key and it fit nicely. All screw holes didn't line up so we had to drill a couple of new holes in the dash of the boat so it would fit. Other than that, the second one was perfect.

Just installed this glove box in my 20 foot Sea Serpant and it was a breeze, 20 minutes from start to finish. I'm sure it will provide some extra space to store our cell phone, flashlight, etc while enjoying a day on the water.

Absolutely perfect! Was better than I expected, and installed in my boat perfectly. Dimensions were spot on.

This is very expensive for what you get.However, it was the size I needed, and as you may notice - there aren’t many options.It’s plastic - doesn’t feel particularly durable, but we shall see I suppose.4 stars for now and I’ll revisit this review if it breaks.
