Zodiac7790 Gray Temperature Sensor Replacement Kit for Zodiac Jandy AquaLink RS Pool and Spa Control System, 15-Feet

OEM Zodiac Jandy. Product was an easy install. The box came with 7790 label but the sensor product inside read 7784. I called Jandy in Vista, CA and asked about this. Part 7784 is the actual temp sensor with the cord. 7790 is the water sensor kit which includes the 7784 sensor and the rubber washer for a proper seal against the pvc pipe. This was the correct part and it's working properly. The old sensor had been reading 152 degrees and then the system read "Short" when it stopped working altogether. Just a heads up, when the old sensor stopped working (Short), the Zodiac Jandy PLC1400 cell chlorinator also shut off and stopped producing chlorine. As soon as I replaced the old water temp sensor with the new water temp sensor, the chlorinator came back online. Water temp read out seems to be spot on. This is a DIY install even for a newbie. Watch the many how to replace videos on You Tube and save some money. It took me 15 minutes and done.

Pool control panel said air temperature was 100 degrees in December. It was funny until I realized freeze guard wouldn't turn on automatically.Replacing the sensor was super easy. This sensor works like a charm.Can't imagine what my pool company would have charged me to repair it, but they told me the part was $50.

Product came and was correct but the item looked used. Amzon sent me another one and everthing worked.

Worked for us! This was pretty easy to replace by ourselves. Way better price than having a repairman come out to install and buy the part from. We used it for our Jandy spa heater.

Worked great. Not all that difficult to put in, just a little bit of wiring challenge trying to track the old one and install the new. But definitely a DIY project.
