More than 50 years ago at Christmas in my home there was always a huge container of varied nuts and lots of chocolates for celebration. I seemed to be the only person in the household who could get the shell off of the Brazil Nuts, so I got them all. I think this started my love for them. When this huge bag arrived I was so glad not to have to shell them. I stuck them into the freezer and eat a few daily for my Selenium needs PLUS they are helpful in quieting cravings! Maybe I should put "Visiting a nut company to see how Brazil Nuts are shelled" on my bucket list. I sure do remember the work it took way back when! Thank you for all those good, fresh, tasty nuts at a decent price and great convenience.

loved these, not a bad one in the bag. very fresh and i salted myself so i could control it. some i coated with chocolate were delicious from start to end of the bag

I usually get a larger bag of Brazil nuts from a bulk food distributor, split it up and share with family members but now that I have relocated, I decided that 5 pounds was a good size for me to keep on hand just for myself. My main concern with even the 5 pound size was that the nuts would be fresh enough for me not to have to worry about the nuts arriving or going rancid.My husband and I eat several (not too many, just a couple) a day to get our selenium requirements. Did you know that Brazil nuts are said to increase your metabolism, raise testosterone levels, boost your sex drive and possibly help prevent cancer? Hey...count me in!I have been very pleased with the freshness as well as the taste not to mention how handy the size of the resealable bag is for me to store and handle. I fill a sandwich size baggie for snacking, zip the top of the main bag closed and pop it in the freezer until I need a refill. I don't know if freezing the Brazil nuts is necessary but I would at least refrigerate them or store them in a cool place.The current price with Prime delivery is about the same as what I was paying for them at the bulk food store and I don't have to haul that heavy bag home. I gave my UPS guy a bag as a late Christmas gift and he really appreciated it!The huge downside to the Amazon Brand is in the packaging. It has neither a resealable zipper closure nor any sort of carry handle like the Scoop Away package does. This makes it unwieldy to carry, pour from and store. If you have a 4 gallon bucket with a handle and lid you can transfer it into, then don't hesitate to buy this. If not, the bag is a deal breaker in my opinion.

Love these nuts, the taste is great and eat three per day for my thyroid health. They are a little pricy.

No other flavors or oils, fresh nuts, medium size, good value. Not too oily, package reaseals.

Fresh, tasty, nutritious nuts. It takes a while to eat 5 lbs. of nuts, but they stayed fresh in this resealable bag.
