600W is a good match for a 4x4 tent. The kit comes complete with a ballast, timer, mechanical clock, hanging ropes, reflector and two bulbs - one for grow (the fatter MH bulb) and one for bloom (the thinner HPS bulb). I'm busy in bloom so I tested the HPS bulb on the digital ballast. At 50% the system drew 330W, at 75% it used 485W, and at 100% the HPS bulb consumed 625 Watts.When handling the bulbs avoid skin to glass contact. Wrap the bulb in a piece of paper or use the include padding to handle it. Save the boxes as you'll want to store the bulbs between "seasons". The mechanical timer can be set in 15-minute increments which allows for the standard 18/6 day to night for veg and 12/12 for bloom. The cords allow for the ballast to be mounted outside and the reflector inside a grow tent.At 75% the bulb is producing 500-600 PPFD as measured with a Sun System PAR meter at 28" and 800-900 PPFD at 14". With the bendable wings spread wide and the fixture at the top of a 7' high tent the light covers a 4x4' tent edge-to-edge with some drop-off at the edges.I've got my wings bend in a bit and I run the lamp back-n-forth on a  Light Rail 3.5 Kit Motor w/ Rail, Light Mover Genuine Solidly Made in USA  which allows me to hit the plants a bit harder than otherwise. The movement also allows the lower leafs to get some light that would otherwise remain in the darkness so trimming is done a bit differently with a light rail. I got my grow light last Wednesday which was the 3rd. It came nicely packaged and the bulbs were wrapped in bubble wrap and also with bubble wrap inside the packaging. It was supposed to arrived on the 1st but shipping was delayed. Anyway... I am very satisfied.My 4 girls are looking wonderful. 2 days later I noticed crazy fast growth using the MH bulb at 250w setting in a 4x4 tent. They’re about ready for flower but was waiting on this light to switch the light cycle. 3 days ago I switched to the HPS bulb at the same 250w and the light was very bright. One of my girls was a bit stunted for a while which I guess was due to the “1000w LED...” Noticed the quotations. Which so much growth in a short few days I’m loving this light. I can’t wait to see the final results. I fully recommend this product when it it is back in stock. Should I need another HPS I will be ordering from here.

So the ballast is heavy and a bulb came broken bc it looks like someone just threw the items in a box. But Amazon made it right with the bulb. And I needed it for veg first so not a big deal to me bc that bulb was still good. The reflector is super cheap and flimsy and came bent but I really don't care about that either. We'll see how my plants like it.

I'll start with the negative ,When I ordered it was "the last one in stock"I have seen that before and figured it was a sales tactic,Not the case, I went to order light # 2 and it was a 3 to 6 week window to get it,Ok received my light kit in a timely manor, the box was pretty beat up [it was the last one in stock] it had been opened and re taped,the Reflector hood only had 2 out of the 4 mounting holes,[easyfix 1/8 inch drill bit ] and the hanging straps were missing,called I Power and they were simply awesome mailed me the straps same day,Ok now the Positive ,super easy setup,both bulbs produce a LOT of light as opposed to my 1000 watt led,it is warm for sure and in my case that is good my basement is a constant 62 degrees and that is a little cool for spring seedlings,I have read some reviews that state the reflector hood is flimsy, but that is a good thing for adjustment and that thing would get super hot if it were thicker gauge ,This is a 5 star product with 5 star customer support, cant wait to get my second one

I am a crafts trade instructor and found these useful for teaching fledgling electricians the basics of older HID lighting technology. Though these are soon to pass into history as a normal lighting source, the kit is useful to demonstrate pre-LED lighting sources and their components. You can also use this set up for plant nurseries as wekk as general lighting in a large area.

I've bought all kinds of grow lights and wasted a lot of money before I got this set. The results are amazing compared to my $600 LED light. I wish that I had gone with this set first before spending a lot of money to get poor results. Great value. Plants love it. It's not as hot as I expected it to be. Runs rather cool for what it is. Highly recommend.

I needed to find a decent light for an indoor garden I'm planning and this is by far the best I could find especially for this price. Everything came well packed and undamaged. It was very easy to put together and the ratchet clips that come with it to hang it were amazing. The cord length is really nice as well allowing me to keep the ballast outside of the room and just have the light in the room. It comes with a 55,000 lumen 600 watt metal halide bulb and a 55,000 lumen 600 watt high pressure sodium bulb. I would buy this over and over again.

IPOWER is the first time I have strayed from Vivosun. (They were out of product at the time).Showed up with one broken light. Ballast smoked when turned on and would not work.I have emailed IPOWER, I have sent them receipts. NO RESPONSE IN DAYS.I am not sure if this company even has customer service. Just checked my sent items from email. Yep, SEVEN UNANSWERED EMAILS ABOUT FAULTY PRODUCT.Customer service, no reply. Support, no reply.Buyer beware. Thing about me, I know anybody can have a bad shipment, it happens.ZERO CUSTOMER SUPPORT SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN.I will update if I ever hear from them I will ALSO UPDATE if I Never hear from the.

This grow light was $125 Can. It works excellent and the plants thrive under it.The deal is over now but there are still good prices out there for this 600 wattEdit; the ballast just quit so $125 for 4 months not such a great deal. I feel stupid now for giving such a great review.Can I please get a new ballast shipped to me so I can re-edit again. Please ship me new ballast because should be under warranty but no direction as how to go about warranty claim…I’m waiting to see what happensE- Marketing Solutions is the company that sold this fixture so be cautious when buying a product from this company.If E-Marketing Solutions won’t back up their product then I expect I-Power to stand behind their products. It was actually closer to 3 months give me a break! 3 months . I want a new ballast!! Please have some integrity and stand up for your warranty!

This light was delivered june 15th, it was used with the veg bulb for less than a month and the bulb burned out. Value is good, but not if you have to replace bulbs that quicklyEdit: company responded quickly and replaced burnt lightbulb right away

Best bang for your buck. I purchased many led lights bit unless you spend big money on your LEDs then you get dull / dim little leds. But I'm happy I got this light my flowers and bigger and covered in sticky resin. I would definitely recommend for growing anything indoors.

This is the proper product for growing any tomatoes, peppers, or herbal jazz plants.The price is much better that 20 yrs ago, and you get both bulbs with only one ballist!.Great!
