Western Chief Waterproof Mid Rain Boot

Love these for when I'm outside gardening or doing yard work. They are tight fitting at first, but after a few decent wears they end up fitting pretty well. I would say they are true to size, I wear a 7.5/8 womens depending on the shoe & I got an 8 in these.They are also cute 🙂

Love everything about these boots! Comfort, fit, durability. I wear them everyday for hours on end working around our farm and even running errands. I tend to need a wider fit shoe as well and have no issues with these. They are true to size. I cant wear thick winter socks but everyday socks and wear are perfect. Definitely recommend.

These boots are really nice looking. They have a good tread. Soft fluffy lining. I ordered my usual size 10, and they are very roomy. Not a bad thing because I can wear thick socks for winter. The only thing I can say could be better are the strap & buckle to adjust the shaft. The shaft is quite wide so to reduce flopping as I walk I cinched up the strap. The strap feels very cheap & weak. I don’t know how durable these boots will be but for the price I think they’ll be fine for running errands & walking the dog.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Absolutely love these boots! This is my second purchase actually. I accidentally lost my previous pair while camping. They were out of stock and I tried other boots but returned them. These are super comfortable & great quality. The fit is adjustable at the top for larger calf. Great product especially for the price.

Sturdy rain boots. I ordered in size up. It’s easy to put on and remove it. The inner sole cover is removable, washable.I use it as the gardener boots so I prefer the matt pattern. It’s good in every season, wear a socks for easier removal. Easy to clean, fit perfectly. No smell. It’s worth its price. Support my for perfectly, easy to walk and work in it.

I have had a pair of Western Chief rain boots for 10+ years. They are still good in the rain but are showing their age. I decided to buy a new pair for a trip next week thinking I would have not problems with them. Unfortunately the quality is not what it was 10 years ago. The first thing I noticed when I opened them (from a plastic shipping bag NO BOX) was the rubber that was sprayed on had bubbles and holes. At first I thought it would be OK since they were to be worn in the rain and not for looks. Then I called Amazon to see what their return policy was for a defective item that had been worn. I really wasn't sure I got the correct answer, but he told me that if they had been worn I could not return them for a refund, even if they were defective. I am usually satisfied with Amazon and if I have a problem they handle it. I have decided to return the NEW boots and to contact Wester Chief's corporate office. I know that some online vendors sell 2nds and after reading several negative reviews about them leaking and falling apart, I won't be keeping these. It's such a shame that we can no longer have faith in a name brand product. And that Amazon won't stand behind the products that they sell.UPDATE: I did contact Western Chief office and was pleased with the response I got. They promised they backed their products and gave me a % discount. After my trip I purchased a pair DIRECT from Western Chief. As far as I can tell they are in perfect condition. We haven't had rain yet but I am satisfied with the boots and will buy direct from them in the future. I have had this problem with Skechers that I bought through a B2B and not from the maker. Lessons learned for me.
