Gaia represents Mother Earth, and the blessings of the harvest. Her body was created with gathered sticks from my favorite nature preserve. She wears a dress fashioned from recycled silk sari ribbon in vibrant colors of purple, teal, rose pink and green. This sari ribbon is imported from Fair Trade women's cooperatives in India and Nepal. She wears a cobalt blue gold lamp work glass pendant with a dangling iridescent faceted glass bead. Rainbow flecks bounce in the light from it. She is framed in an upcycled frame adorned with moss. Behind her is a hand-painted abstract design of autumn leaves.
