I love this coffee table. I was nervous buying furniture from Amazon but after a successful amazon/Ashley purchase I made last year, I convinced myself to order this and I'm so happy I did. First off, it's made with real, heavy, sturdy wood. I could tell that right from the beginning when I could barely get the 70 lb box in my house. Assembly is ultimately just attaching the legs and attaching the shelf to the legs. Tip: don't fully tighten the legs until you fit the shelf in place. The table is beautiful. It's rustic and masculine. Looks perfect with my large sofa. The finish is very forgiving and the shelf is open to many possibilities. Just don't be like me and buy cool, new, wire baskets that turn out to be too big for it. The opening is about 10" tall, so you would want at most, maybe a 9" tall basket but the shelf looks great bare too. It's perfect for saving games of monopoly, that you didn't have time to finish or for storing floor cushions or pillows. Do what you will. Anyways, this table is great and the quality is better than I expected. Fast shipping and it arrived in perfect condition. Stylish, attractive and worth every penny. You won't be disappointed.

Simple to assemble, weighty, and sturdy, this coffee table is a really nice piece of furniture. I've decided to go with the matching Ashley Furniture Galveston Collection for my living room, so I have acquired this coffee table, the square end table, and the rectangular end table thus far.This table is made of only a few pieces and some screws, but it is rather heavy. It's simple, but I like it. The finish, if you're not familiar with the collection, is a 'weathered' / 'brushed' black. It gives it an antique feel, and for me, less concern over future scratches.

Easy to assemble until I got to the bottom shelf. Then I needed a second pair of hands to lift shelf while inserting into legs.Sturdy and looks good. I put big baskets on the bottom shelf. The one tiny annoying thing is that the groove running around the edges of the top catches little crumbs.

I've been eyeing this coffee table for a really long time, finally pulled the trigger and ordered it. I regret not getting it sooner. Very, very easy to assemble. Less than an hour. I love the color and size, and the rustic look. Definitely recommend this for others! Great price and sturdy piece of furniture.

Very nice looking coffee table and sturdy, this table is very easy to put together, unfortunately there was damage to the corner of the table and we had to repair with wood glue. Overall the table is very pretty and works perfectly with the rest of my furniture.

Wow! What great, solid furniture for the price! Easy to assemble! In person it has a more rustic look, but perfect for the family room where the kids can beat it up and I don't have to worry. I also purchased the end table and the sofa table from this collection. Very satisfied with all three pieces. They have a heavy look...which means durable to me. You will not be disappointed.

Seriously such a beautiful piece of furniture! Easy to put together, sturdy, and just a gorgeous piece! Our table came with no dents and unscratched despite the UPS driver tossing it at our door. So no doubt this is a company that knows how to package their furniture. I'd highly suggest this coffee table to anyone who is looking for a good piece of quality furniture at a great price.

Upon assembling this, my husband got to the last leg and found it wouldnt screw in straight. It kept twisting when tightened. Prior to that he discovered one of the holes was missing the metal thread insert. So had to make his own version to fit. Then discovered the leg mount was mounted upside down which was causing the leg to twist when tightened. This should've been a very easy assembly, but turned into a reconstuction process that took over 2 hours to fix. Beautiful table, very POOR manufacturing!
