Hooked it up, ran some test code with some multi-color blinking leds.This sensor worked just fine.

It works best if you unscrew the black protective cap thing, and you have to hold it very close to the object. Other than that its a good sensor

I tried using this chip for almost a week. I was integrating with an Arduino. I was not able to get any usable data out of the device. So, I finally hooked it up to a scope and found the green channel was not giving any response. I Should have done it sooner. Must have non-existent QC.

Reading other reviews, it shows that you have to remove the black ring and hold the sensor very close, so I will have to resolder the LEDs. Little bit of a bummer. Will update when I do that and test it.
