perfect for 00-04 Subaru Outback front wheel bearings
I did the front wheel bearing on my 2001 Outback and this kit was so perfect.I did not use the kit to remove the hub, my wheel bearing was so worn out that I was able to knock the hub out with an impact socket, wood block and a hammer. This kit includes the stuff you need for a Subaru. One of the big cups fit perfectly for the inside of the knuckle. There were two small plates that worked perfect as well, one fit the outer race to install the bearing, and the other fit perfectly on the inner race for installing the hub.I used a 1/2in drive impact gun, on the low setting and it went slow and smoothly. I put WD40 gel lube on the threads, it doesn't look like something that would last in heavy service at an auto shop, but it doesn't look worn out either, nothing is bent or broken and I fully expect to be able to use this many more times over the next 20-30yrs, because the home mechanic rarely gets a chance to use something like this. You could use this to do the job on the car, without taking the strut or ball joint loose. I'm just not sure how you would get the hub off. It includes hub pulling bolts, but I think you would need to buy a nut for them and knock a wheel stud out. Maybe just buy a slide hammer.

I love this tool
This was my second purchase of this tool. i love it. I have one at home and one at work. Pressing a bearing in and out is not something you do everyday most are bolt on bearings these days so this is a good value for a tool that will only be used occasionally.

Need Bigger Cups
I dislike, this set doesn't come with the bigger receiving cup I need. A huge disappointment for me. So foar that's my only complaint

Did what I wanted
I did not buy this thinking I could get my old bearings out with it. My friend had just bought a hydraulic press and that is what I used. I just wanted all the various size rings to use to help push the bearing out and re-install the new one...and the hub assembly. The process turned out to be a nightmare even with the press. But this kit had all the sizes I needed. Re-assembly was very easy using the various components in this kit to make sure I didn't put pressure on hub assembly lug nuts or inner bearings.

Great quality!
Great product. Made quick work of removing the wheel bearings on a Pontiac Vibe. Has lots of sizes to accommodate a wide range of bearing sizes. I would avoid using an impact wrench on bolt for longevity reasons but with me using a 3/4" breaker bar and ratchet, the drive screw barely looks used. Will get many more uses out of it. Saved me a ton being able to do it myself vs paying a shop.

This is a better tool as far as quality goes but it would ...
The tool is very heavy duty, but it was the wrong size. I had a disk that could push out my bearing but the cup to give space to push it out was a very close fit I never would have been able to get it out of the cup. So when I used it to get the bearing started but had to buy a HF tool to finish the job. This is a better tool as far as quality goes but it would not work for my Toyota Sienna. If the cup would have been a little larger it would have been fine.

Use lube
Best money I’ve spent in a while. This tool is super easy to set up and it works like a dream. Only one tip ive got for anyone ho needs to use it. Cover threads in some kind of lube to make for a smooth screw, I used a lithium based dry lube and it worked great, but any kind of lubricant can work.
