I’ve been using these for a few years now. They are by far the best hose washers out there! No leaks and they last for years even in our Florida sun. I’ll never waste my money on the cheap ones again. They are worth every penny!

So many people talk about hoses, fittings or sprinklers leaking, but the fault is usually old and/or inferior washers. The washers that come with ANY AND EVERY hose-related item you buy these days are not rubber and are not durable – over time they will harden and fail to seal. You see this when you take them out to replace them – you'll find a depression in the manufacturer's washer from the hose end. That means it has hardened and lost its flexibility, or (more likely) was hard and inflexible right from the start. It can no longer compress to make a proper seal, leading to leaks that only get worse over time. Just read the bad reviews of any hose-related purchase here on Amazon – 90% will be something like "it leaked" or "I tightened it as much as possible but it still leaked so back it goes" or some variation on that theme.That has *never* happened to me in about six years of using these washers – when I decouple a hose or fixture, I check just to see the washer, and these always look as good as when I put them in... no depression at all. These washers will *absolutely* stop leaks at the couplings, and this is the sixth package I've bought because I keep buying hose items and I put these on everything (car washing wands, pressure washer, quick-connects, shutoffs, timers, every new hose, etc). Not just for us, but for my kids as well – they think I'm excessive, but I'd rather be excessive than clueless. I still have a few left, but don't want to run out so I'm buying more.These are an inexpensive but important upgrade that belongs on every hose-related thing you own – I guarantee they will stop all leaks you may have at your connections. I used to have to buy them on specialty sites (including their own site, originally), so I'm thrilled to see them on Amazon.You'll use one package quickly, so I'd go wild and buy two or three.

They are quality made washers.Just think a $1 a piece is a little high on price.Probably won't pay this much again in the future.

Who cares about the lowly hose washer? Well, if you spend any time in your garden watering, or washing your car - you should care. I've always hated the thin, cheaply made plastic hose washers that are supplied with most sprayers, hoses and other accessories. More often than not - they will start leaking.And a leaky garden hose is one of my pet peeves.These Backyard Dudes washers are beefy and are easy to install, fit snuggly in your sprayer and hose ends.As far as value for money spent, I feel the Backyard Dudes washers will last for many seasons.I'll report back with any updates if there are any issues.

Best washers I’ve bought

Do not fall for the pumped up reviews. I fell for them and purchased hoping this would finally fix my leaking garden faucet. It helped a little bit but still leaked. Because the leaking was not as bad I kept them beyond the return. Big mistake. I found the green silicone competing product actually works. Another $9 spent and well worth the money. If you are thinking this product think again.

Finally a decent Hose washer that is way better that the local stores version. Seals the leaky hose connections!
