There are a lot of misleading, negative reviews for this product, but most seem to come from people who don’t understand what an inch in diameter means or didn’t bother to check the gauge of their bar. These clamps worked perfectly. I was able to hold up the weights just by the clamp alone.

Ive used these clamps for years. They slide on & off the barbell easy and tighten around the bar to keep plates secure. Alot less hassle & work then threaded bars with the big nut you have to turn until tight against the plate litterally like a nut & bolt and then having to periodically re-tighten. If you want to spend more time lifting weights then loosening, tightening & re-tightening then go with these.

I bought a couple different packs of these to work with my leverage machine that only came with a couple of these 1-in spring collars but these work fine as expected and they were affordable and easy to slide on and off so I recommend them for sure!

They work pretty well for things like presses, but they will slip a little when doing things like overhead tricep extensions; which is pretty unnerving. I use two clamps each side when doing things like that, and that seems to work.

Works well for a small curl bar

I have 2 "Standard one inch bar barbells" and sadly, these do not fit onto either one. They are far too loose so I will be returning them since I cannot use them.

Will be returning these. These clips don't have good holding ability - they're actually less effective than ones I already own. Also, they came in a bag which had previously been opened - there were 2 machine screws, 3 sheet metal screws, a small flat washer and a wire nut!?!?
