In comparison to the Woodlev book + levitating globe (which I also recently bought, but returned), this device is awesome and extremely easy to get working. In addition, there is an illuminated light inside the globe that appears to get it's energy source via the magnetism. Also, unlike one of the questions & answers, this globe does auto-rotate on its own. I've had it for several days, and it commands my attention every time I walk into the room. I will add that it looks great even when there is bright sunshine coming into the room, `though I'm not sure I can explain why. You're going to love this thing.

Globe looks great overall, it will definitely catch visitors' attentions. LED lights all work, the globe LEDs can be turned on or off, base LEDs shouldn't be and can't be turned off. I've had this rotating all day at a low speed and it isn't stopping. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is because of a couple things that could be improved (or maybe mine is defective):1) It MUST be spinning above a certain speed or else it will just rotate back and forth. I think the weight in the globe is not in perfectly aligned, so my globe will go slightly faster and then slightly slower periodically in a single rotation.2) The LEDs around the base are individually distinguishable in a square pattern around edge of the base and their light illuminates the base to form a kind of lumpy circle in the middle. The images shown either show a circular pattern of LEDs or don't show the lumpiness of the non-illuminated circle of light the square patterns produce in the middle. It's not terrible, but the pictures definitely screw with exposure to reduce this effect which is a little misleading (and I do mean a little).

Changed to five starsFinding out how to turn on globe was pure luck, must read. Small rocker switch on bottom lights up stage. When stage is lit, look for a little black spot on the edge around the top of stage, that is a sensing on/off switch, amazing*Small rocker switch on bottom is how you light the globe internally. I am very disappointed with the Electronic Grace LED light Globe. The pictures that were shown on site were definitely different than globe we received. I read the questions and reviews and I specifically bought this one due to the detailed map. The globe that came is VERY basic. The seller needs to post true pictures of the globe being sold.I don’t recommend this product.

This is so amazing!!! I love this globe sooooo much! Hands down my favorite accent to our game room! The magnetic pull truly causes the globe to levitate. It glows and SPINS! I truly love this product! Worth the money!

excellent gift. Other more expensive models turn in the wrong direction and spin way too fast.

Really cool globe, actually replaced one that my kids broke, which I should probably warn you that kids between 4 and 16 have zero ability to keep their hands off this. Every time my kids had a sleepover I could count on finding the globe stuck to the base in the morning- LOL!

Love how the globe illuminates my dark spot in my computer room. It's mezmerizing.
