The same as other reviews say, I had a difficult time getting this thing to sync with my wifi network.The worst part is that when it sends a message and phone call when a leak is detected it sends it from a different 800 phone number each time. I don’t know if it’s a water leak or spam coming through!Get a MOEN. They cost more, but at least they always contact me from the same phone number so I can give it a recognizable name in my contacts list. But do read the reviews. The Moen’s are not perfect either.

Very easy to install but got a few false alarms just due to damp concrete - so, don't let the sensor touch the floor, at least not concrete. It connected to the Alexa app on my phone but the smart devices say it's "not supported yet." It DOES connect to my Android phone. The alarm is a LOUD shrieking not unlike a European Police Siren. For the low cost it's better than I had before which was no protection at all. I'd likely go higher end if I were to do it again.

Excellent product at low price. SMS messaging will cost you a few dollars/year. I am using it to monitoring cellar for broken pipes and flooding. Device requires WI-FI.

I found this water detector easy to install and set up. I inserted the battery and used my Smartlife app to connect it WiFi. Smartlife app found the Water Detector and installed it. To test the Water Detector, I added water to my sink and just touched the sensor to the water- I received an instant message that water was detected from my Smartlife app, not Alexa. I dried the sensor tips and cleared the message- I was good to go. I placed the water sensor in my upstairs bathroom near the toilet in case of a water leak. I don’t need a water leak on the second floor of my home. I give this sensor all thumbs up and I would recommend this product. I ordered a 2nd water detector for my basement. Thank you!

This device is a hassle to get linked to Google Home. Once it’s linked, that’s it. It doesn’t do anything. Doesn’t show its status, doesn’t alarm or alert. The only way I could get this device to actually show an alert is when the Tuya all was open. The Tuya app didn’t even send me push notifications! An email or text alert is behind a paywall. Not pleased with this device.As for the actual sensor, it worked great. But no way of reasonably seeing the status!

This Water Leak Alarm, WiFi Water Detection Sensor APP Push Record Support Amazon Alexa Google ... is a generic product. It is difficult to connect to WiFi. I literally had to place it next to the router to get it to connect. It kept losing connectivity. Overall, this product does not inspire confidence. I don't recommend this product. Pay a little more and get a reliable product.
