Excellent strong light
I've had various plu in and rechargeable lights in the past, all OK but unless I had power, or remembered to charge, they were a bit of a pain. Because I have to charge my dewalt batteries to use other tools on a daily basis, I always have a battery available with enough charge in it to work this light. To be honest, even one bar left on a 5amp last for a long time with this light! It is also built like a tonka toy, so will take a drop and knock etc. Reasonably light without the battery, but feels sturdy. About 3 or 4 dimmer settings by pressing the power button, but I generally just use full brightness as very economical on battery usage.

Very bright light with poor bracket and controls
This might work better on a tripod, the handle / bracket provided is poor. The control button is flat and next to the LED panel so you risk melting your retinas trying to find it.The light settings are via cycling the on switch and even the dimmest setting is very bright. A raised rotary dial and some dimmer settings would improve this no end.Battery life is great from a 5amp battery.Laid on the floor and left to shine straight up it easily lights a room to a good standard - good enough for seeing if your second coat of white paint has covered evenly.

Extended Warranty
The media could not be loaded. Great concept and excellent product . The light has been great for nearly 2 years now but the batteries have started to fall out now. I phoned up Dewalt and they said had I registered it I would have been eligible for extended warranty but there’s nothing they can do to help because I didn’t register. Can’t fault the 2 years use I had out of it.
