So. Had to replace these which were behind the wall (of course) within the shower area. Glad I did some research and came upon these. I went to a plumbing supply outlet (Northwest Pipe & Supply Inc. in Brighton, MI.) and the "young inexperienced counter guy" told me I would have to rip everything out and buy whole new shower assembly. Wrong. No way that can be true. He said would don't have the part (can't get it - very unhelpful to customer showing up in the store). So. Found it on internet. Don't always believe the counter person. If what they tell you shows questionable, do some research before spending three times the money and tearing stuff out.

Thijs item works very well but is set up to work for copper tubing only. We have PEX in hour house and additional fitting need to be purchased to make it work. It is installed and looks very good and works well.

This product was not new as indicated. Instructions indicated taking apart the assemblies. They were already apart and items were in sealed bags. What was not in a sealed bag nor in the box were pieces E & F which were required for installing on a thick deck. Already BS enough I had to buy trim kit and hoses and a threaded tee AND this valve kit, but for it to be missing parts? Makes me wanna stick with what the big box stores have on the shelf and not deal with online orders. Will not buy again.

High quality, sturdy not a single drop of leaking water in 4 months. Please note that you will need to cut and sweat copper pipes and fittings or purchase flex metal feed hoses.

Both Valves turn in the same direction. What does this mean to you? When you install the handles then both turn counterclockwise to turn OFF, both turn clockwise to turn ON. Go turn your sink handles already installed in your home for hot and cold and see that they both turn opposite each other to make the ON/OFF intuitive to the human race.I installed them as is, since I was already committed once I learned this sad fact. However, I am never buying this brand again. Not like it matters. I will probably change my next faucets when never comes around.

Was able to sweat copper between the two and stiffen it up as the old ones had a hose connecting the two. Now when you shut it off it does not spin.

Created an access panel by sawing an access panel in the bathroom cabinet to replace the 22 year old roman tub faucet and valve. The hardest part was getting the old plastic crimp connections off of the copper pipe. For the cold, the pipe was damaged and had to be cut back a little to attach the new crimp hoses to the water lines. Installing the valve and faucet was not difficult. I had originally called a plumber and thought I had to have an access hole cut in cultured marble, but from the side of the cabinet, the panel can be covered with maple plywood and is hidden from site unless the cabinet is opened.

Took a minute to figure out the height etc.

Pain to install, order the hose kit. My mistake not realizing there was one available
