Great
These have been a great alphabet and word learning tool. My 17 month old was eagerly learning letters everywhere I could teach her, so I wanted some flashcards. Not only has she learned the letters, but she has learned new words too! She uses the upper and lower case cards to play matching, which has been great for making associations and visual development (seek and find sort of stuff). The pictures are simple and mostly well-chosen, unlike some similar materials that use odd words for so many of the letters. Moreover the font of the letters is simple and clear without weird added embellishments that would only be confusing.

Lots of fun
Not only did these cards teach my son his alphabet and the different animals but it also served as a matching because it comes with the uppercase and lowercase of each letter.

Exactly what I wanted
Got these for my 27 month old. He already recognizes capital letters, but I wanted to help connect them with the lowercase counterpart. There is a matching picture corresponding to each letter to help him associate the lowercase with the capital letter as he's leaning. I love that they are two separate cards instead of double sided so we can pair them together. I also like that the backs are blank so we can flip them over to make searching for the matching letter more fun. We've only had them a couple of days and he's already recognizing several of the lowercase letters. A few of the cards have things I wouldn't have chosen to go with the letter, but as I wanted them for the letters and not the picture, it doesn't bother me.

Animal Sight and Sounds
My 20 month old grandchild knows a lot of animals and he enjoys going thru the cards to locate an animal the adults name. These cards help combining a "sound" with an animal name. The alpha letter is visible but for an older child. Cards are easy for little hands to hold; and they are coated so moisture or foods don't hurt them. Instructions included offer additional ideas for using the cards to learn letters and sounds. We put the cards away a week at a time and then bring them out again so they seem "new" to the child. They are an alternate visual stimulation when you don't want to play with the building blocks. These cards offer lots of learning opportunities.
