Fantastic value but "repeat" settings can be confusing...
I bought this remote because:It was £10 cheaper than the JJC equivalentI liked the design better than the JJC oneThe listing quoted my exact camera modelIt uses AAA batteries for both the remote and the receiverI can confirm that it works really well on my Sony RX10M4 camera and I am generally happy with it although I wish it had a bigger display! There are several things of note that may help potential buyers:The remote has a setting for single shot and another setting for continuous shootingOn my Sony RX10M4 there are separate drive mode settings for single shot and continuous shootingThus the remote’s continuous shooting setting will only work (properly) if the camera’s drive mode is also set to continuous shootingHowever, be aware that…If the camera’s drive mode is set to continuous shooting and the remote is set to single shot, multiple images will be taken over a 1/4 second. I assume that the 1/4 second is the duration of the signal sent between remote and camera. The Sony RX10 can shoot 24 frames per second in “Hi” continuous shooting mode, so over 1/4 second it will take 6 shots, in “Mid” it takes 4 shots and in “Low” it takes 2 shots. If the camera is set to single shot and the remote is set to continuous shooting sometimes 2 shots will be taken.IntervalometerI have never owned an intervalometer remote before that had the ability to repeat a sequence of events like this one does. It can add confusion to the setup process until you understand the functionality. If you break down the settings into 3 groups (Setup, Sequence and Repeat) it may help to understand the process:SetupDELAY Initial delay time before first shutter releaseLONG Exposure time - only valid with camera in BULB mode otherwise ignoredSequenceINTVL Delay time between 2nd and subsequent shutter releases - ignored if N1 (below) is 001N1 Number of shutter releases including first shutter releaseRepeat (sequence)REPEAT Delay time between first and subsequent sequences - could be any value if N2 (below) is 001N2 Number of times to run through the sequenceExample 1: Camera NOT in BULB mode, 12 shot sequence NOT repeated (this would be equivalent to an intervalometer without the repeat functionality)After 5 seconds, take 1 shot every 5 seconds for 60 secondsDELAY 5 SecondsLONG 00:00:00INTVL 5 SecondsN1 12 ShotsREPEAT 1 SecondN2 1 (once)Example 2: Camera NOT in BULB mode, 1 shot sequence repeated 12 times (This achieves the same result but uses the repeat sequence)DELAY 5 SecondsLONG 00:00:00INTVL 5 SecondsN1 1 ShotREPEAT 5 SecondsN2 12 TimesPractical repeat example.A Morning Glory flower has an opening time of 45 minutes. The flower is blowing in the wind so I want to take 5 shots, one second apart to hopefully capture the flower (in one shot) mid frame.I want to repeat this sequence every 5 minutes over the 45 minute flower opening time.Example 3: Camera NOT in BULB mode, 5 shot sequence repeated 9 timesDELAY 5 SecondsLONG 00:00:00INTVL 1 SecondN1 5 Shots - Initially 5 shots will be taken after 5 secondsREPEAT 5 Minutes - after 5 minutes, 5 more shots will be takenN2 9 Times - I repeat the sequence 9 times to cover the 45 minutes (9 x 5 = 45)Obviously for long exposure photography you have set my camera to BULB mode and set an exposure time in the remote’s LONG setting. I also tested this and it works fine, just don’t forget to account for the longer exposure time when setting up the remote’s INTVL and REPEAT times.I hope this helps someone because it took me a while and a lot of testing to understand it - maybe it’s just my age!

Eliminates annoying dangly cables!
Having used a wired remote for some time (that also had no power button so would run the batteries down when not being used) I finally picked up a wireless version. This is ideal when doing astrophotography, as I no longer need to touch the camera to shoot, and don't have to worry about the remote either dangling on its cable, or finding somewhere to prop it.The feature set is pretty standard for these remotes, with programmable intervals and so on. As I don't read manuals ( :) ) it took me a while to work out BULB mode- my wired remote had a slidable shutter button that locked into place, this version works by a "press once to start, and again to stop" method - which is actually better.Anyway, so far, this widget has proved super useful.

Brilliant. It works perfectly. Buy it!
I was so impressed with this wireless remote control, so much so I did an unboxing and test review on my YouTube channels."John Lavin-Ford Photography with Nikon and Olympus""Gear, Gadgets & Tech"My wife and I renewed our wedding vows but sadly due to the present pandemic I was not only the groom but also the photographer.I was not willing to spend over £200 on the over priced Nikon version of this, but I was willing to spend £39.99 as this was possibly going to be a throw away item. I WAS WRONG. This is excellent. Please watch the videos and you will see a good overview of the product.NOTE... I am not sponsored. So this is a genuine review.

Prima afstandbediening/timer

Very Good
The intervalometer comes with vast variety of settings. Although it takes some time to understand the settings, but once you get to spend some time with it, it becomes your best companion for night photography.

ARTICLE BIEN FINI
