I don't know how this stuff gets bad reviews it works flawlessly in our pump.

I ordered 400lbs of sand, it came 2 days early, none of the bags look ripped or damaged, so sand spillage as far as I can tell and it was everything I needed. I needed it to weigh down different items and it wad perfect

Should have spent more on better sand, this is borderline garbage sand box sand. I get sand in the pool every time I run the filter; this is using a well known name brand sand filter set up. It does keep the water clean but overall a waste of money, unless you like getting the pool vac out after every use.....look for something betterEdited to update this one star. After three weeks of use the sand in the pool is still there but nearly unnoticeable. My best guess is the really tiny granules have nearly filtered there way through the laterals of the sand housing, but at any rate it does a fine job of keeping water clear. I know it's working when I backflush the filter, because the water runs out dirty for the 1st half minute or so.

The sand is fine in itself, just more expensive than other brands. I used this to fill my intex pool filter, but I did not buy enough even though I purchased 2 bags! (I'm using the INTEX 26679EG QX2600 Krystal Clear Sand Filter Pump & Saltwater System for Above Ground Pools, 16in, also purchased on Amazon). I ended up having to go and get more sand to completely fill the filter up. The product does work and does keep the pool clean though so there are no complaints there, I just wish it was better as far as cost.
