Excellent bright led lights for the price.
I installed three of these units under my boat swimgrid, above the water, and they emit more light than many underwater lights - although these are waterproof too. I decided to mount on the boat transom and point down towards the water. After comparing with a friends $3,000 lighting system, mine was warmer and brighter, and he couldn't even tell that I had mounted above the waterline. He has already had problems with his submerged lights, and me, no problems after two years. The blue light is very attractive, and gives my yacht an entire new look at night.

Fish with us and see them glow !
These lights are Kick-Ass. We were at Marauder charters in Solomons Island Maryland. We have installed the green ones under water to attract the fish and one set of switches. We also set the blue color lights above the waterline and in cockpit cabinet lighting over the stern. Extremely satisfied with the performance of this product and its ease of installation. I tried several other products underwater lights on my smaller 23 ft boat before choosing this brand after a two year trial on the smaller boat we installed hem on the 44ft charter boat. Come fish with us !!

Standard Issue on my Key West Bay Reef
So these are decent lights. They were what was originally installed on a Key West Bay Reef. They probably need to be replaced every two years. They’re plenty bright for inshore fishing and river candy. I wish the instructions were a bit more clear about the two styles of mounting pads. This time on install I put them on with 4200, but I also fully coated the rear and screw holes with clear silicone just to stave off eventual leakage. Time will tell if that helps prolong their life.

ok first of all i hate to leave bad reviews but this was unreal
ok first of all i hate to leave bad reviews but this was unreal, the first pair i bought for my 20 ft boat i installed on a warm winter day with 5200 as they are below the water line. I tested them they worked and i was happy, the weren't that bright but for the money i figured i only needed a little light. Came out to do some other work on the boat about a week later and noticed one had water in it. The boat is on a trailer and hasn't been in the water as its winter in NJ. So i checked the light and here i must have tightened it too much as it cracked. So i figured my mistake even though i didn't crank down on them that hard. I figured i would order another pair and take my time and not over tighten. So removed them and the 5200 and cleaned everything up, tested the new lights to make sure they worked and put them on. I did not hook the wiring right away as i had other things going on and wanted the 5200 to dry anyway. Two days later i go out and hook all the wiring, make it all nice and neat wire tie everything up and flick the switch...... only one lights up.... try to to flip out maybe i missed something, cut the connections and hooked that one up direct to the power and ground... nothing.. So now i have to re install, clean the 5200 and start the process all over again.. Spend the extra money to get something else, you will be happier.

They appear to be of very good quality. I hooked one up to my truck ...
I have not installed these lights I purchased, I will be pulling my boat out of the water this coming spring and will install them at that time. They appear to be of very good quality. I hooked one up to my truck battery during daylight hours and the light was still bright during the day. I am excited about these lights and can't wait to install them on my boat. Good price, good quality, I recommend.

They’re ok. Wish they were brighter.
UPDATE: After about 3 months after the installation, the saltwater has eaten through the seal where the glass connects to the to the back of the light. It started taking in water and quit working. Wouldn’t recommend these lights especially on a salt water. This is a light that you definitely get what you pay for. It’s much cheaper than other transom lights for a reason. Like everyone else in the reviews say: this light will crack very easy on installation. I knew this going into it and still cracked 2 of them. Any amount of pressure on the light from the screw will crack it instantly and it will take in water. The second takeaway is don’t expect much brightness. It only lights up between 2-3 feet behind my boat and the ocean water where I live is pretty clear. At night when pulling up to restaurants, there’s a huge difference between the more expensive lights and the $40 lights.Side note: I didn’t take these pics. They were edited before they were sent to me, so they appear to be much brighter than they really are.

Awesome!
Easy install, looks great. Very small installation holes. Looks great when creating a wake, and almost like the flame out of a fighter jet at full speed (I have a Yamaha twin jet boat). I live in Texas where the water is very muddy, but once moving, it is VERY noticible. For the price, I put two on the back of my boat and they look great.

Don't over tighten
Plastic will break if you over tighten. Water will get inside and ruin the light. If installed properly they will last quite some time not super bright but they do light up well about 5ft behind the boat but you have to screw them in hand tight only and use alot of 5200 the glue will do most of the work.

Very cool lighting for any kind of boat
As a tournament fisherman we, and 500 other boats head out before sunrise. Navigation lights alone dont feel like enough to prevent crashes, but I cannot bring myself to run the big deck lights with so many boaters navigating in the dark (wish others felt that way) and so these lights add safety, functionality and a cool factor. I highly recommend them. Very easy to install and wire.

Totally NOT Submersible!
These lights are advertised as being suitable for either above water or below water mounting. Before you spend money on these lights, read the reviews from people that have had them for at least a year.I was very careful in making sure these lights were well protected against water infiltration. I mounted two of them on the transom of my SeaRay 260. Luckily, I decided against drilling any holes in the transom and bonded them to the hull with sealant. I also put sealant around the wire connection and mounting plate. The photos show the results of being submerged for just one season (May to Oct) in a fresh water lake in Ontario, Canada. Both lights were toast and show clear signs of water infiltration. These may work above the water but definitely are NOT suitable for below the waterline use.The other issue I had was their light output. If you are expecting to see the kind of glow around your stern that ads for underwater lights typically show, you will be disappointed. In crystal clear water on a very dark night they are barely OK - they light up the water for a meter or so behind the boat. In the harbour where I dock my boat, they are barely visible. These lights are definitely not worth the money.
