The Illuminated Life of Christ: The Gospels and Great Master Paintings Flexibound – September 15, 2015

Beautiful great master paintings depicting the life of Christ with scripture related to the paintings. I did notice that Jan van Eyck’s Annunciation is mistakenly captioned as a Botticelli. The printing is very nice. The format is a tad small to see all the painting detail fully. But the book is durable and beautiful.

The person I gave it to loved it an d I had to wrestle it from my husband in order to give it as a gift.

Bought it as a present. Recipient LOVES this book!

Actually, I don't hate this book but we are forced to use the star-ratings even when we wish to make a general comment about Amazon's product information. For this book and others involving direct quotations from scriptures, I believe most potential readers would appreciate know precisely which version of which scriptures the book contains. The same applies to 'The Illuminated Psalms" also by Black Dog & Leventhal - brilliant concept but more detail needed. I have been caught before and I now refuse to purchase a book featuring scriptural quotations unless I know whether I am getting a version I consider odd or antiquated if not heretical.
