Update 8/11/17: Contacted seller (Thousandshores, Inc) per their comment on my review. They were extremely helpful and sent a new one out right away (note: it took over a week to receive the new one - would have liked it faster since I originally had gotten it in 2 days with Prime, and I would think the seller would put a rush on the shipment). The new one works flawlessly. It is a really nice light. Love that I can chose warm or cool or mixed (I prefer warm since it's "supposed" to be healthier for your eyes) And high and low brightness is really nice. It works great by my computer so I can see my keyboard with out having to turn up all the room lights. Also is great for paper work, as it can really light up an area if you want. The bendable neck works really well, too. I wish it was also free-standing without needing to clip it to anything (you actually can do this, but you need to balance it very carefully) - but it was not advertised as free standing, so can't take off stars for something it isn't supposed to do. Overall I really like the light (and the customer service was great).Original review (one star):Might have been nice if it worked. Light would not turn on. The power indicator light did not light, no matter if plugged into computer or AC adapter - so not ever getting power. Perhaps a bad USB port. Will be returning...

This is my second OxyLED lamp - the first one lasted 5 years before experiencing the flickering described by other reviewers. I took it apart and confirmed the switch was not working properly. However, that’s a pretty good record for an inexpensive lamp that is used daily.As for the brightness, it’s good for a 5 watt lamp. There’s are two levels of brightness, with three color settings for each. The clamp is very strong and never failed, nor did it damage the desk shelf where it was mounted for five years. While the bendable arm could be a bit longer, I like that it’s smooth and not jointed - it looks nice. The arm didn’t weaken or sag over time. Also, the lamp is lightweight and sleek.Even after looking at all the options on Amazon, I still chose to purchase the same lamp again. I like it!

I finally have a light that works. I attached it to my desk top that sits on my lap in bed (broke my back last summer but well on the mend). This light stays attached no matter what I do. The clamp is so strong it took all my might to get it on, but that is terrific because once on it stays on. I move the light by bending it where I want it all the time and it has held its flexibility without becoming droopy at all. It has so many lighting selections it is wonderful for my eyes which are looking at very tiny print from the 1930's most days (historian). I almost want to purchase a second one to have in the closet just in case something should happen to this one. Very well made and works as promised!

I just got this today and it's amazingly bright with no flickering, seems pretty solid yet doesn't weigh a lot. The clip is a lot larger than I expected which is great for stability, and quite strong. The gooseneck is nice and stiff, staying exactly where it's aimed.These pictures were taken with my Kindle and my Surface 3 tablet to give a sense of scale.This gives me much needed lighting for reading, drawing and coloring and I'm really glad I bought it.UPDATE: the light keeps blinking on and off so after some experimentation I discovered that the power adapter that came with it is defective. I switched it to a different adapter I already have and it works but the problem is I need that adapter for another device so I'm not sure how this is going to work. I don't see a way to contact the seller so I guess I'm stuck with a shitty adapter.UPDATE #2: I figured out how to contact the seller and explained the problem to them. The seller immediately sent out another whole light when in reality I had expected them to just send an adapter! It turned out to be a good thing because even with the new adapter I bought the thing was just dead as a doornail. I'm happy to report my new light arrived quickly and it works perfectly.Thank you to the seller for the excellent customer service and swift resolution to my complaint, I'm just sorry I took so long to update this review.

Whenever I would read, which is something I do a lot of, I'd lie on the bed and use the lamp clipped on my headboard. But, oftentimes, I'd read so long that I wouldn't be comfortable any longer, and have to move to my desk to read. I would have to use the light from the computer to read which, naturally, would give me a headache.I started looking for a lamp that I could clip on my desk. In my search, I came across this lamp in particular. It was cheaply priced, so I wasn't expecting much. But when it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised how great of a lamp it really is. It offers different brightness settings which I appreciate. Its two defining features for me are its clamp and flexible neck. With some clamps, they aren't capable of opening wide enough or having a tight enough grip. Not the case with this lamp. And the neck bends however you'd like it to bend. Clipping it to the top of my desk, I needed the neck to twist and turn in the opposite direction from which it would be facing otherwise to be able to use it, and it handled it just fine. The neck is also strong so when you manipulate it, it doesn't swing or hang loosely. It stays in the position you set it in.It's a must have for anyone who needs a small, but efficient desk lamp.

Don't know why I waited so long to order this lamp! I have it clipped to my headboard and the size and flexiblity of this lamp are perfect as a reading light. I love the fact that I can choose warm, cold or in between color of light. I have found that the warm light makes me sleepy whereas the bright blue light is great for helping to wake me up in the morning!

I just love the fact that the light shine exactly on laptop keyboard and not in my eyes. With USB connection there are no wires to trip over. Although it has a switch I rarely use it as the lamp turns on and off the same time as I open or close my laptop. No lamp to knock over on the small desktop with wheels which I use when sat in armchair. Then, when I wish to draw or paint (I am an artist), with a slight flick of the wrist the excellent daylight lamp head can be slightly moved to accommodate full coverage. Could not be happier, as an excellent purchase!

Great lamp. Way sturdier than I was even hoping. The clamp is big and cinched right on to my couch frame and stays in place while moving the lamp around. Really happy with it for the price.

I use two of them on my tilted drawing table. The variations in warmth and brightness are perfect for various tasks. I move them around a lot to move the shadows out of the way.
