Cheaply made junk
This is something that you would find at the Dollar Tree or your kid would bring you home as a gift from the “secret Santa” shop at school. Made out of the cheapest “wooden leftover scraps” and then stapled unevenly together to form this so-called planter. Don’t waste your money.

Everything's coming up pens!
I was looking for something cute and square to hold my pens. I was originally looking at cute, small ceramic planters but couldn’t find anything I liked it a square shape. Bought this instead and it looks cute and does exactly what it needs to—hold a lot of pens. Probably paid more than I needed to for it, but I took out the metal insert and use that as a second holder. As a planter, it would work fine—but I am not sure how the metal liner would affect the soil at all. Most likely great for an event, like a rustic wedding or baby shower, as a temporary home for a plant.

These are gorgeous, but the zinc liners leak water ...
These are gorgeous, but the zinc liners leak water at the seams. I am going to keep them, but am going to remove the dirt and plants, and seal all of the inside seams with caulk.***edited*** a year and a half later, the liners have been holding up great, and I love them. I had taken a caulk gun and just lined all the seams on the inside with clear kitchen caulk. No leaks since. I can still only give 4 stars, as I shouldn't have had to make this modification. They sit on my bookcases with ivy and I never worry about them leaking now.

Low quality wood.
I love wood. Not expecting mahogany at this price. I must say this is the lowest quality, least attractive wood I have ever seen.

Absolutely useless.
Put a plant in it, the zinc liner is not sealed so the water leaks everywhere. Absolutely useless.

Leaks everywhere! Worthless product.
These car very cute but completely non-usable! So frustrating. As others noted - these leak everywhere despite the tin-like insert. I don’t get it? What is the point of having an insert if they continue to leak? I intended to use them for thanksgiving day centerpieces but tested them before using and water was everywhere! The entire purpose of an insert is to prevent leaking. Mine had glue everywhere - like someone tried to prevent the leaking - but they still failed horribly.

Super Cute! Perfect for my RV Herb Garden
I needed some planters that were small enough to fit the windowsills in my RV but still aesthetically pleasing. These are the cutest little planters and I love that the liners are metal and not plastic. I will say you'll have to be careful with watering so that you don't develop a mold problem if the wood keeps getting wet. Other than that, I plan to buy at least 6 more to complete my collection. The price is awesome too!

Wedding Centerpiece
These are great flower boxes. I bought them as centerpieces for my wedding. A few of them arrived damaged and the wood has imperfections but if your'e going for a rustic look these are great. They are a little bigger than I thought they would be so if you're using them as a vase or planter make sure you have enough flowers or plants to fill them!
