Fabulous product. If you love artichoke you will love these. Not your can Or marinaded artichoke. So much better. If purchase it, please save the oil it is packed in. Great to add to sandwiches, salads , vegetables . Enjoy!

They are great artichokes and have a nice flavor and texture... The caveat is they must be drained of the nasty sunflower (or whatever) oil they are in. I have found the best way to enjoy them is to drain them completely, even squeeze the oil out of the heart itself, place them stem up in a new container (to continue draining) and eat normally. I have also tried rinsing them entirely of the oil (best when used in cooking) and while they do lose some of their added seasoning taste, they are still really good and flavorful. The quantity is also great.. lasts several days, recipes, or feeds several people. I like them just as a snack.The oil tho.. is truly nasty but the artichokes, when drained, can still be easily salvaged.Update: I thought they were good but expensive at $35, but the overnight increase to $45 is feeling too much like being taken for a schmuck. There is no justification for this and while I did like them...I didn't like them THAT much. Sorry Roland, you just priced yourself outta this market.

It took me a while to use it, waiting to have a nice party. I just checked the due date…..07 21 ?????????I waited too long and passed the return window! Oh well, will not buy it again.

These taste amazing! If you like Artichokes buy these!

I have had these many times in Italy at harvest time. Ofcourse, nothing beats homegrown. These are good but I can taste an ever so slight acidity. I don't think they can avoid it to preserve shelf life of the product. The oil is a cheaper preservative which tends to color any roasted flavor. We had purchased these before on amazon but it was not through the Roland label and they were better. As pricey as they are I doubt I will finish them. If I were having them in Italy they would have been gone the first week. Some things just cant be transferred.

Best artichokes ever. The roasted taste with stems is to die for. I think some people who reviewed about leaking oil or soft product likely had a damaged package. Don't eat them if the package is damaged. Otherwise these are a huge hit at every dinner party. Or just for us!

Wasn’t anything special

I bought these on a whim to have a healthy snack. They arrived in tact, no issues there. Upon opening, I followed instructions and immediately transferred them to a sealed container that I kept in the fridge.They are not the most flavorful I've ever had, but we have to keep in mind they're not fresh, they're packaged. That said, they were a lot bigger than anticipated! They were perfectly tender; not too tough or too mushy. I heated them up on the stove for a few minutes with a little acidity and salt/pepper/garlic, and they were perfect! Exactly what I wanted. I paid $15 for a similar appetizer at a restaurant so the value for this great. I would definitely buy again.
