Privacy hedge for a mouse! ;)
Privacy hedge for a mouse! ;) Only half the size of what I expected based on the photo and description. You're better off buying from a nursery. At a nursery you'll pay $13.00 versus $5.00, but get a podo 20 times bigger, as save yourself years of waiting for growth into the bigger plant you expexted.

Very healthy and sturdy
I wasn't able to get these in the ground as quickly as I wanted because of work but I watched them carefully and made sure they didn't dry out. I finally planted them and then laid drip hoses along the hedge line for easy watering. That was a couple of months ago and lots of them have doubled in size with that light green new growth. I think a rabbit may have eaten the leaves off of three of them but I had a few left over so I can replace them if they don't leaf up again. I put the left over plants in larger pots and they're thriving too. They're my "emergency back up" in case of weed eaters and rabbits. But the weed eaters haven't gotten them because I put a little purple flag in front of each plant so they won't get mowed down. So far, so good. If I ever get a hedge, I'll take a picture. In the meantime, they're adorable and healthy looking. They had some of the worst packaging I've ever received but they came through like champs! These are tough little plants. Open them outside because, if they're packaged like mine were, there will be soil everywhere when you open the package.

Great packaging.
These are great. I expected small (3-6") but they are what I need to begin landscaping my new yard. They were all damp upon arrival and had fully developed roots. The packaging was somewhat over the top--I had great difficulty getting them out past all the industrialize stapling of cardboard and insulation foam glue--but I can't imagine how anything could be damaged even if drop kicked or upside down. I purchased 10-packs of three different kinds of plants and all looked very healthy. I've repotted them until spring when I can set them out in the yard. Thanks!

All 40 plants arrived alive, fully rooted, and ready for planting.
I was nervous about buying living plants and having them shipped cross country from Florida to CA, where I live. Could they survive the trip? I needed a lot of them, as inexpensively as possible, for a new hedge. So I took a chance and bought 40 small plants. I already have one beautiful Podocarpus hedge that's 8' tall and full of lush pompom branches. The plants arrived quickly (received on Feb. 6 2018) and alive. Not a single dead or dying plant out of 40! I'd give 5 stars to this nursery but a fair amount of planting mix came loose out of the mini-pots. It wasn't a huge problem, but it was messy and some of the roots were slightly dry (but the plant was alive and viable). They're all planted and alive 6 weeks after I received them. Anyway, I a happy customer. I had my holes dug and drip irrigation ready so as soon as the plants arrived, I got them planted. And they're all still alive.

These are tiny!
I was a little hesitant to order shrubs online but the pics and the reviews looked promising. What I received is super tiny and not at all like the pictures. The pots are 1 inch wide and 3 inches tall. The foliage is about 3 inches tall. If they were a foot tall like the pictures lead you to believe or like the other reviewers received, I could have used them. On the bright side, they seemed healthy. Now I get to return shrubs online for the first time.

They are tiny and not in 2” pots as advertised.
They seem fine and should work. However they are not even close to the size that they advertise. 3-4 inches, not 11-12 as shown. They also came in plastic bags in clumps of 10 instead of in 2” pots as advertised.

Grow well
They arrive fast. They are healthy. They are from 9 inches to a foot tall. I transplanted the first 40 I got to 3 gallon nursery pots so they could take hold. Never planted them directly into the ground. After about two months they had New shoots about 1 to 3 inches. I then put them in the ground (central Florida) soon after that. I augmented the soil with cow manure. A month later they have established themselves. One died, can't say why. The rest are growing. This is a long term project, like a decade or more for a real hedge. You have to water them if there isn't regular rain. No less than one time per week. They need fertilizer too. No more than once a month in the spring. I figure $500 to hedge in the whole back yard. Someday it will be private and beautiful. P.S. City wouldn't let me put up a fence, but I can have as tall as I want bushes.
