Fantastic Mirrorless Camera for Enthusiasts!
I've been using the Nikon Z5 for a few months now, and it's exceeded my expectations in every way. The image quality is outstanding, especially in low light conditions. The autofocus is lightning fast and accurate, making it a breeze to capture those spontaneous moments. The in-body stabilization is a game-changer, giving me sharp shots even with slower shutter speeds. The ergonomic design feels comfortable in my hands, and the intuitive touchscreen interface makes navigation a breeze. I love the EVF - it's clear, bright, and provides an accurate preview of the final shot. The Z5's battery life has also been impressive, lasting through a full day of shooting without needing a recharge.Switching from my old DSLR was seamless, thanks to the included FTZ adapter that allowed me to use my existing F-mount lenses. The Z5's compact size and lightweight build make it a great travel companion, without compromising on performance.Overall, the Nikon Z5 is a fantastic mirrorless camera that strikes the perfect balance between affordability and high-end features. Whether you're a beginner looking to step up your photography game or a seasoned enthusiast, this camera won't disappoint. Highly recommended!

Exceeds expectations
I have been a Nikon DSLR shooter for well over a decade. I currently own the D7200(2), D600, D610, D800 and D850 and was reluctant to transition to mirrorless. I had heard a lot of negativities about the initial Nikon mirrorless cameras, which fueled my reluctance. Nikon's continued mirrorless updates encouraged me purchase the Z5. My initial expectations for this camera were more or less, middle of the road. I have owned this camera for six weeks and it has exceeded my expectations. From a physical perspective, I have large hands and generally prefer the larger body of a DSLR. From a performance perspective, I find the eye auto-focus, IBIS, customization and image quality to be better than expected. I will be using this camera primarily for still photos. The attached images were taken handheld using a Tokina 100mm 2.8 macro lens with FTZ adapter, in manual focus or Tamron 17-35mm 2.8/4 in auto-focus. Although this is considered an entry level camera, the overall features make it much more.

The Nikon Mirrorless For All of Us
Here's the bottom line on this model. It is the same Nikon quality you know, love, and expect at a much more attainable price point. It has dual SD UHS-II card slots, and uses the newest variation of the EN-EL15 battery from Nikon (EN-EL15c). I refuse to call it "entry-level."So if you have been on the fence about Nikon mirrorless because of the single XQD card slot in the Z6 or Z7, this is a great way to dip your toe in the mirrorless water and even dive in if you want.SD cards are ubiquitous and inexpensive. It has been flawless with the FTZ adapter and my F mount lenses. It does uncropped 1080p HD video, and can do cropped 4K video. I don't do much video at all, so I don't mind. 1080p is enough for me right now anyway. I am not a pro (maybe someday...). I do wish it had a little faster frames per second for stills. 4.5 is ok, but not great.I liked the Z5 so much, I sold off my F bodies and bought a second Z5! Now I have two of these for the day I go pro as a wedding photographer! You always need a backup. There's a lot of reviewers on the 'Tube who have been talking down to Nikon for its mirrorless efforts, but the fact of the matter is, Nikon is doing a great job in its first generation of full frame mirrorless. The Z5 (for me), Z6II, and Z7II (both unreleased at the time of this review), have everything we need. There's no reason to jump ship to another brand now. IBIS and Eye autofocus are all onboard the Nikon mirrorless cameras.Don't get caught up in the reviews (especially outdated ones) that make it seem like everyone buying cameras is a professional wedding photographer who needs 4k video 100% of the time in one hand while photographing birds, wildlife, and sports at 20fps in the other hand, all at the same time. If that's not you, do you care if you have one card slot, or can't record in uncropped 4k? All we need is a little perspective. Find the right camera for you and go have fun.

Super easy to use camera 📸
Oooohhhh boy! I love this camera. It takes killer pictures, and straight out of the box it was easy to use. It’s also small enough to haul around. So far the battery has been doing great. The only complaint I have with this is the charge light never changes from red to green. But that’s it.

NIKON AND AMAZON SERVICE SUPERB
PHOTOS - red marked blowup of bird in tree shows nuance, power and precision of this camera.A superb choice and bargain for serious lovers of photographs having a wide range of skills who just don’t want their camera to get in the way, from auto to highly adjusted features. Hey, this one actually extends and enhances your possibilities. Exceptionally strong lenses, autofocus, exposure control, low light capabilities, good video, and great Nikon feel. The Z5 is a similarly gifted but poorer member of the family, this little sister lacks some refinements and rare capabilities of its supposedly more capable ‘siblings’ Z6, 6ii, 7, and 7ii.Added 6/30/21UPDATE: just returned my rating to 5**** : BECAUSE NIKON and AMAZON SERVICES recently assisted me with superb service, finally updating SnapBridge, the Z5 WIFI picture transfer app, re-enabling the suddenly incompatible APPLE iOS and PVN settings in my iPad. While surprising, frustrating, and disappointingly inconvenient, causing me to initially reduce my Z5 rating to 1*, i finally discovered that such frustrating temporary iOS and other disappointing WiFi compatibility breakdowns like mine can limit the camera’s usefulness but are inevitable and common as APPLE routinely updates its iOS.The camera itself is fine and an ongoing pleasure. The Z5 and AMAZON TOO deserve 5***** ++ RATINGS!
