Complex and informative
I love how educational this book is for kids interested in aerodynamics. It contains several pages explaining the physics of flight, and includes experiments that kids can easily perform with their paper airplanes. Some of the instructions are more complex and difficult to follow, making this book better for kids ages 10 and up. Each airplane model covers a two-page spread in the book, making it difficult for sharing (only one type of model can be made at a time). If you want a paper airplane book that is good for younger kids, or that shows instructions for multiple airplane models at once, try the Usborne book of 100 paper airplanes for kids.

Great fun for the whole family!
One of our kids was given this book as a gift. It was such a hit that we bought a second one for our other child. You know each kid has to have their own copy. This book is great because it teaches much more than how to just fold paper. It explains how an aircraft works. It also goes into great detail on how to get the best performance out of your creations. The folding instructions are easy enough for even our 5yo to follow. The included origami paper is easy to work with and durable. The best feature of the paper is how cool the designs look when folded. This is a must have book for kids and adults.

Highly recommended
Great book! Has a lot of additional information about airplanes, the physics behind them, and other ideas of what to do with the airplanes. The directions are clear. For reference, my 5 year old needed help at first, but after an evening making airplanes, can follow most of the directions himself.

Fun airplanes
The paper quality and printing were great! Only feedback would be for directions, little confusing but overall was able to complete.

Gift for my 8 year old grandson
I think it is one of the best ones out there so far. He was handed down one from his brother so I got him this one. Looks great and I am sure he will love it.

Great book & Fun activity great for 6-7 year Olds
you got this product for our son for the holidays and he absolutely loved it. He was able to instantaneously open the book and start working on the project with the custom sheets of paper. I will say that some of the custom pieces of paper so intricately designed that it’s hard for the young kids to know exactly where to fold once he got the hang of the folds. It was a really great activity and he’s been enjoying it.

Facts are neat and interesting, instructions for making planes are NOT easy to follow
The book is half interesting facts about the science of flying & history of paper airplanes and half about making the airplanes. The first half is interesting and informative but honestly I bought this for my kids to make cool paper airplanes. The instructions and illustrations for making the airplanes are just plain bad (pun well intended). The book has paper to tear out with designs and fold lines to help you make the planes. There are designs and fold lines with numbers on both sides of paper you tear out. The fold lines are very faint and small. There are several different designs and the instructions for each plane start out with the same first step "With the bottom side down...." The problem is...there is no indication of which side of the paper is the bottom side. Moreover the fold lines are the side of the paper that you're folding over. In other words you can't see the fold line because you're covering it up with paper you're folding over the line. Why not have the fold line on the outside? They have illustrations with each step that provide little to help clarify.A reasonably intelligent adult struggled making the planes, a child has no chance.
