great for keeping slugs away
This copper mesh is perfect for keeping slugs away, as long as it is installed properly. I ran it aroud all my plant and for the first time I finally don't have a slug problem! I had one section that got lifted off the ground bt accident and slugs ended up attacking the plant right next to that spot, that sucked but it proved it was working and if you leave a palth for the slugs they will eventually find it. Hold it down with some ground staples and you'll love this stuff.

One way to help keep mice outside...
I used this product to stuff up under my siding, so mice couldn't get into the house. I'll also use some to wrap my garden box to keep slugs out. I've dispatched about 40 mice over 3 years with conventional traps, but finding one alive and having to release them or drown them to put them out of their misery, was getting to me, so I started educating myself about their habits. Most importantly, I started putting all the seed detritus from my parrot in a jar with a tight fitting lid, instead of in the garbage where mice can smell it. She doesn't eat every kind of seed in her mix, so there was still enough to attract them. Her fresh seed has always been kept in tightly sealed containers. When the jar gets full, I dump the seed chaff down the road, and haven't seen signs of any mice since. My house backs up to a forested area (their habitat first), so I had to outsmart them.

Copper Mesh Snail & Slug Barrier
The mesh was attached to the top perimeter of raised garden beds. It is a highly effective barrier against the destruction caused by snails and slugs. It is well worth the cost, and is easy to work with. Highly recommended.

Seem to work
It really seems to have reduced the number of new slugs in my raised vegetable beds. And it was fairly easy to use.

Large garden slugs go right over the fence I made with it (but do get stuck inside...)
I built a raised bed and used copper tape around the sides. Slugs searched around the tape, but eventually just went over the tape--didn't work, but they did seem to try to avoid it. So I used this mesh to build a fence--big slugs went over it too; yet one slug got stuck in the fence and was still there in the morning. So I used more of the mesh to double the fence's height. This time although the slugs all went over the higher fence--they couldn't get out!! So this morning, I had 4 giant slugs and 7-8 mini slugs stuck in my raised bed. So while the mesh didn't work as I imagined, it does seem to help me manually control them. My guess is that it isn't the copper that kept the slugs in, but the way my "fence" was shaped it was harder for them to climb out--so you might be able to recreate the effect with any soft mesh--but this material is easy to work with and looks nice (and maybe it was the copper, who knows?).

Stopped the snails
Stapled this wire around the tops of my raised garden beds and I did not have one snail or slug get into my veggies all growing season. Have made a second order to be ready for next year.

This product says it will prevent snails & slugs from plants - It never did
I had such high hopes for this product. I even let the seller know why I returned it. It does NOT work. Tried it for a week & snail trails would still be all over leaves on my potted citrus plants (limes, lemons, tangerines) every morning. The copper is suppose to prevent them from crawling on the plants. The squggle trails left on leaves made the leaves shrivel up & die. I removed leaves every morning (snails would come out at night) & visual proof the copper mesh was never effective. It's touted that it works to prevent snails from crawling so I had the mesh on the soil (small pottted plants) & also around the plants. I removed dead squiggled leaves every morning to get rid of the hormone scent more snails will follow up to leaves not yet squiggled(white trail of snail stuff) & ruined. Was disappointed the seller said no to a refund -- because the product did NOT work. Only used about 7 feet of 50 feet.
