I use this device to control a heated bench in my greenhouse, it works well, is accurate and is (putting aside the poor instructions) reasonably easy to set up.It is a multi function device and also has the ability to operate as a timer and a controller for a cooling device as well.Do not however get mislead by the statement on the web page that it will automatically switch from heating to cooling.As there is only one socket on the device you can only control a heater or a cooler/fan not both. If you want to control both you need a device like the Rainbird which has two power sockets, one for heating and one for cooling.With this limitation it is a good device and much cheaper than the Rainbird controller. Bye the way the Rainbird is a good device, mine lasted over 6 years before it failed and I bought this KETOTEK to replace it.

I have had this in use for over a year now.It is great at turning the power on and off according to the temperature paramatres you assign.I have set it up, running through a seperate timer socket. The timer socket controls which times of the day it comes on, and during those times the temperature control socket then functions and tells my radiators when to come on and go off.As for how it works, its quite simple (at least the way I am using it). I set a minimum temperature and a maximum temperature I wish the room to reach. When the temperature hits the maximum, it switches off power to the socket and when it hits the minimum temperature it turns the power back on. This is controlled by the temperature probe.This is the only weakness of the device, as the cable is thin and I could see it breaking if you move it around a lot or place it so the wire is kinked. You would be best to consider where in your room would be the best place to monitor the temperature, place the probe and then avoid moving it. This has worked well for me, and as I said it has been in use for over a year now. I occasionally change the temperature settings, but other than that it and the timer plug have just been left to do their jobs with no issues.All in all it has proved to be a good purchase, and at least in my own case has been very reliable.

Used to control a fan heater in a greenhouse to keep the nighttime temperature up for tender tomato and chilli seedlings. Works perfectly. Lose a star as first unit didn’t work (or may have immediately failed on connection to a 9A load), but was promptly refunded and another purchased which (3 weeks in) is fine. One thing to be aware of, the blurb gives contradictory current handling rating which doesn’t inspire huge confidence. Considering this and the specs of other comparable devices, I’m using this to control a 1kW heater but wouldn’t trust it on the 2kW setting.

Purchased this to switch my caravan under floor heating on and off so as to keep an even temperature. It works very well, you sett the temperature you want the heating to switch on at them the temperature to switch off at. It is that easy, it ensured the under floor temperature switches on at 34 Deg and switches off at 54 Deg. That is the heating mat temperature not the room temperature. Works very well but if using it for this purpose make sure it is safe.

Easy to set up. Instructions have very small writing which made me realise it's time to see the optician (is that a positive or a negative?)

Bought this item to use with a tubular heater in my garage, so that it can control the length of time the tubular heater will need to consume electricity. The temperature gauge is very accurate and setting it to come on at a low temperature and go off again when it reaches a chosen higher temperature is a doddle, but I would recommend checking some YouTube tutorials on this specific item, to do this, as the instructions with the instrument are more vague than they need to be. It is very easy to use once you have seen an independent YouTube tutorial, so don’t rely on the English language used with the instructions that come with the item, as they are a little clumsy. For added interest, the tubular heater and this temperature controlled plug have been purchased to complement my solar panel battery backup system, to ensure that my solar panel batteries don’t fall below zero degrees centigrade in the winter - as they won’t re-charge if that happens.

I got this to set up a proofing box at home and it is really neat. It provides an easy way to set up any heating element (or cooling!) so that you can keep a particular temperature. It has a number of different moved, that can be used for different scenarios. It is easy to read and easy to set up. Overall very happy with it.
