High quality. Great cheese slicer.
In a world of low quality cheaply built products, this cheese slicer offers a pleasant surprise. I was impressed by the high quality look, feel and performance of this slicer. It appears to be made of polished stainless steel. It has a little heft to it that adds to the high quality feel. Comes with a replacement cutting wire also if needed. I have been using this several times a week since receiving it and again couldn’t be happier with it’s performance. Clean up is quick and easy.I bought a hand crank cheese slicer in the same order and have used it once. The crank slicer works okay but definitely more cumbersome and cleanup was time consuming for just slicing one block up or making a sandwich. This compact simple stainless slicer is much handier and more adjustable for desired slice thickness.

It is GREAT!
I am in no way part of this company! However! This is a well built product! This "Zulay Kitchen Stainless Steel Wire Cheese Slicer - Adjustable Hand Held Cheese Cutter with 2 extra wires"! It is great for an old person. In my life I have had serval cheese slicers! This one is really nice! Easy! What I love most is the cutting wire IS NOT CENTERED TO THE HEAD! It is set to the bottom of one side of head! And the ROLLER really rolls and does not bind. It is made of heavy alloy and feels great in my hand. Like I mentioned it is very easy to use to cut cheese. If your a Cheese eater! This product will last a life time in my opinion. It has a life time guarantee as well. You may spend LESS for a cheese slicer! This one is a keeper and well worth my money that I spent.

Works well
Worked great, good quality and cuts well. Only thing I didn’t care for was the handle seemed a little short

Excellent buy
I bought this for my sister and she really likes the extra wires and the weight of the slicer. It is easy to clean and is built really good. The value is really good for the money. The size fits well in the hand. Not too big or too small.

Excellent excellent product
Very worth the money! I’ve bought slicers before & they were pure junk so I was skeptical before receiving it that this would be any different. But this one is not junk at all — It has a very sturdy solid handle; very clear instructions; allows for various thickness of cheese slices; comes with 2 additional slicer wires; beautifully packaged.I just wish other companies cared for their product as much as this company obviously does.

VERY Hard To Replace Wire
I ordered this as a replacement for an identical cheese slicer that I just replaced the cutting wire on for the 2nd time -- I have zero confidence it'll last the week. The holes where the wire attaches have become deformed, with the short screws barely grabbing, fastening the wire ends. IMHO most will be better off considering these cheese slicers disposable, replacing them when the wire breaks. While it's a good design, the problem is the soft metal it's made from. The ends on the cutting wire are made of a much harder metal, which winds up deforming the square holes those wire ends fit into. Here's what I went through to replace the cutting wire. I had to first drive out the old wire ends using a punch and hammer. Next, you have to make a 90 degree bend in the wire at the rectangular metal block that holds the wire to the handle, making sure to pull the wire all the way through or it'll be too short, and you must make sure both ends match, that you don't have one end bent to the bottom & the other bent to the top or side. That's difficult. Then you can't just insert one end of the wire then the other -- because the wire is taught you have to hold both ends perpendicular to the square holes in the handle and try to insert them at the same time. That's extra difficult when those square holes are mangled. The next challenge is that when they cut the slots for the roller to move up & down, they also cut the bottom out of those square holes. That means that the metal blocks at each end of the wire will probably be cocked downward, towards that empty space, so you can't push them all the way in and the screw holes won't line up. You can stick something through the screw hole, into the threaded end of the block, and try to align it so you can push the block all the way in and attach it with the screw, with the risk that you'll damage those threads. Or you can remove the roller and stick something up through the bottom of the square holes to align the 2 blocks. Reattaching the roller isn't hard, but it's not fun either, because of the 2 shims at either end of the roller. And after going through all that, I found that because the metal was deformed, those metal blocks at both ends of the wire won't go in far enough, so the threads on the [too] short screws barely grab the threaded blocks. I expect they'll pull lose.

Solid kitchen tool
I've been using this type of cheese slicer for years and this is no exception to the style and design so I can honestly say it's solid built, as are most. If you don't already know it, you should know that these wires break frequently enough so it's nice that they've sent along a couple extras. For anyone reviewing these that complain about the wires breaking have obviously not used these types of cutters much. It's what they do.
