I bought this to hold fragile decorations and figures. It works really well for this purpose. The biggest flaw is the feeding lid - opening it is awkward and difficult due to the handle (pictured). If they would change that, it'd be almost perfect. I imagine that it would be a good enclosure for small animals, as it's sturdy, durable, and fairly secure. Pushing the feeding lid up from the inside MIGHT be possible if your animal is super determined, so if you're using this as an enclosure, I would suggest putting something weighted on the feeding lid portion.

This was purchased for my adventurous six year old daughter, who is always catching creatures outdoors. Her older and younger siblings use it with her quite a bit as well, so it gets nearly daily use. Though it has taken some minor damage over the last six months (top lid broke one "arm" off pretty quickly, but still closes and there's a crack along the top corner of the cage itself now that hasn't grown at all since it occurred), it has held up pretty well to being carried around constantly outside, filled with temporary land and water habitats, being transported to multiple locations we've traveled to, etc. I'm hoping it makes it at least another six months, as she really loves it!

The first time I ordered this, there was a large crack on the side, so a replacement was sent. When I received the replacement, it did not come with the cover.

I received the habitat in great condition, but there was no lid included. Update: After posting review I received a replacement at no charge to me. I didn't even have to resend the prior habitat back. Replacement came with lid and no cracks.

I have used this for transporting little critters to vet, grandkids' prize finds, crickets, temporary fish aquarium when cleaning big tank. Plastic and washable. Mice and hamsters will chew plastic if accessories boost them to top. Top snaps on so must be secured so nothing very strong can push open to escape. Great value and my old identical one has lasted for years!

I ordered this habitat for my 8 year old son's Pill bug. The first one I ordered came cracked at the corner. It was still holding up, but would have leaked had we added water. When I contacted Amazon they sent me another one and told me to keep the broken one. The new one came in perfect condition, and my son has had an easy time opening and closing it. He has set up a nice home for his pill bug and has carried the crate around the house a lot. It is very sturdy and a great buy for the money.

I was surprised to open my package and see that the lid on my container was red, not green as pictured. I had overlooked the statement on the description saying that colors may vary. It didn’t matter to me, but if it matters to you, it is something to note. Otherwise, it’s been very sturdy despite frequent handling by a couple of small children and frequent cleaning out by mom. We used it as a home for caterpillars until they were ready to hatch out.

Have used this brand before, recently reordered but both terrariums I ordered are missing their lids.

I ordered this small tank to culture isopods to feed to my jumping spider. Yet, it came with no lid. No problem I'll have them send another... WRONG. The second one came again with no lid. The product description says it comes with one.

Arrived with no top - useless without the top …..

It came broken, the replacement came broken.

It came cracked, unusable.
