Original item broke, replacement sent which has been fine
Middle USB port broke after a month of use. It gets crazy hot and makes dodgy electrical noises (perhaps related to the now-not-working USB port) when plugged in.UPDATE: I was contacted by the seller and sent a replacement, which is fine after about 1 month of daily use. They handled it well and dispatched the replacement FAST. I've updated my overall rating to reflect this.

Great for Macs!
This type C USB hub is compact but very useful for the MacBook.Featuring USB C Port for charging 3* USB 3.0 ports, 1*HDMI port, 2* PD charging port, 1* RJ45 port, 1* SD& TF Card slot connections it allows you to connect to most accessories. I like that it also has a USB type C port so you can charge your computer whilst this is connected. 3 x USB 3.0 ports deliver at the super speed of 5Gbps, a revolutionary advancement compared to USB 2.0 port.I bought silver and it pretty much perfectly matches the colour of my MacBook. When plugged in, I would recommend putting your computer on a flat surface since there would a risk of damaging the type C connector if you caught it on your lap. This is due to it only having one point of connection, which will mean this is a real risk.So far I haven’t had any issues with a USB data stick.I brought this because of these quality controls: stable output, temperature protection, anti-over-current and anti-short-circuit; Certified by CE, FCC, RoHSOverall, it is a small, portable and very useful device that has allowed me to connect a lot more to my MacBook.

A good companion to my MacBook Pro
This is a decent companion to my MacBook Pro 2017 with Touch Bar, giving me most of the functions that I need. The only thing missing, I would say, is an SD/MicroSD card reader. But as I already have the USB-C Apple SD card reader I had no need for that. It’s a good quality finish and sits nicely with my Mac. I went for one like this rather than one that sits flush because I have a skin on my Mac meaning a flush one wouldn’t work. I did note that one other product came with a little case which would have been nice, but all in all I would recommend this.

Great adaptor for Usb-c, this works great with a ext USB-C monitor (wish it was still available)
Great adaptor as it allows charging as well as daisy chaining usb-c devices as well as HDMI, RJ45 and USB 3.1 ports. It is very light and small.Sadly they don't sell this any more, as MOKIN are great, also all the adaptors that are comming out now tend to only have 1 x USB-C port.So you have no way or adding extra USB-C ported hubs or Monitors, and only allows for adding a power adaptor.Hopefully suppliers will supply hubs with more USB-C ports going forward.

It works well, but not so well for devices that need continuous connection - eg: backup drive.
I bought this device to use with my 2017 MBP with two thunderbolts USB-C ports. It seemed to work until you have to pull out the charging cable from the 'Power' USB-C port.My external HDD connected via this device as Time machine kept losing connection when I pulled out the charging cable, which risked data loss and restarting the backup process - the was quite frustrating.

Broke within a year
Setting aside I paid £36 for this a year ago, it's not something I can recommend to other Mac users.Mine hasn't lasted the year. I noticed my Mac was showing as connected to Power Adapter via this device, but the battery was draining. Shame.

Has Everything - Needs the power source going through it though
Works amazingly, however definitely needs the laptop to be plugged in whilst being used as otherwise it drains the battery like a plug! Other than the expected battery situation this dongle is fantastic and literally does everything I need it to!

Dissappointing
Two USB C slots don't work together - only one at a time. The device keeps disconnecting randomly.
