Glad I could simply replace the latch, and re-use the knob and the original key

I purchased this for $9.19 to replace the latch assembly in my Wright lockset. My door is common, 1 3/4 inches thick, 2 3/8 inch backset, 1 inch round role and the existing lockset used a square spindle. This latch assembly is for a square spindle. That's important. It was easy to install and fit perfectly. There were some minor differences with this lockset compared to the lockset it was replacing. My "Wright" lockset requires close to a quarter turn to open the door. This lockset only requires 1/8th turn. The "Wright" lockset had a stiffer spring. This lockset turns with less force. I think this one is easier to operate and I prefer the feel. I can't review durability or reliability and I don't have any other locksets to compare it to but for now 5 stars.

This is a decent quality bolt lock. It was easy to install and functions correctly. It just seems slightly flimsy, but nothing that would affect its daily function.

Solid product at a good price

Purchased and installed the door latch November 2023. Replacing already as the latch is binding and want allow the door latch to fully retract to open the door. Wouldn't recommend. There is a 5 year warranty from the mfr or seller....but I am sure it will take weeks to resolve. Meanwhile back door no latch!

Returned it. Not the right size.

This was easy to install and worked fine, but unfortunately for us it was our door handle that was the problem, not the latch, so this didn’t solve our problem. However we will hang on to it, just in case, as for the low price it’s not worth the effort to return. Our front door had a Schlage handle/lock/latch on it, and this was a fine substitute.Edited to add that this would have been a fine replacement for the Schlage latch that we had, where the inside handle had screws on the left and right side of the handle, not on the top and bottom. I only say this because the replacement exterior door handle we bought (also a Schlage) has screws above and below the inside handle, so the new latch mechanism is slightly different, meaning this replacement latch wouldn’t work to replace the new one. We are still keeping it because it still fits other locks around the house, though.

Thank goodness for Amazon. Nobody carries replacement parts. Lock smiths wanted service calls.

The box was a little damaged and it was missing quite a few parts inside. Guess that is why it was cheap

Amazing value for less than $10. Obviously this isn't the best deadbolt you can buy but there is no need for me to spend more. The key turns smoothly and the door stays locked.

I ordered this item to a broken latch set, but it turned out it was more than just the latch set that was not working on the old one. But this one was super easy to install came with many options for installation and seems very solid. I will keep it around as I'm I'll need it at some point moving forward
