Nice Umbrella!
Nice Umbrella— sturdy build. A bit challenging to fully close, but easy enough partial close for quick in and out of doors until fully dry anyway. Seems like it’ll be a sturdy umbrella for many future uses. Good price for the quality!

The wind was blowing pretty hard, but the only thing that happened with ...
Umbrella arrived right on time. However, the weather gods of Texas were mocking me. The monsoon had stopped the day before, and it wasn't until last week that we got some rain. By "some rain" I mean "torrential downpours, lightning, hail, and tornado warnings." At any rate, I finally got to try out this umbrella. The wind was blowing pretty hard, but the only thing that happened with the umbrella was that it "bobbled" a bit. It didn't blow inside out at all, and it kept the top half of me dry (there's not much you can do about the bottom half, if the wind is blowing that hard). When it arrived, a coworker came by my desk and asked about it. We both remarked on how substantial the umbrella felt, weight-wise. She opened it up, and remarked that the braces looked very sturdy. This is a GREAT umbrella, well worth the price. The ONLY thing that would make this umbrella better, is if the shaft lit up, like in "Blade Runner."

handy umbrella
This umbrella was purchased after my other umbrella was lost. I keep it in my work bag (a Vera Bradley tote). It's not as compact as I was hoping, but it's very good quality. It has a vent system that is supposed to prevent it from inverting, but I haven't used it in significant wind yet. The handle has a silky rubber feel. The button to release the umbrella has two arrows in a light grey color. There is a nylon (i think, it feels and looks like a show string, but flat) wrist strap. Easily goes over my hand and hangs on my wrist. The umbrella pops out with a good amount of force after pressing the release. It collapses easily with the button as well. The button does not collapse the handle portion, only the umbrella canopy. The handle has to be pushed in manually and requires a good amount of force. For me, it requires two hands.Things to think about:-the quick release is very convienient, especially when carrying my one year old and trying to avoid getting wet- easy to hold umbrella to shield youself while getting in the car and press button to collapse after you're done before shutting the car door. HOWEVER, when you release and collapse the umbrella, it sprays water all over the inside of the car door before you close it, but most likely is already wet if it's raining.- If you collapse the umbrella canpoy, but leave the umbrella handle extended, the next time you press the button, it will not automatically pop open the canopy, you have to close the handle fully then press the button. I find this inconvienient in the car because the umbrella is wet and you have to handle it and close it before you can pop it open again at your next destination (if you follow what I'm describing).- I like the nice bright red, easy to spot on dreary days and in the dark. I do not believe the material is reflective, but I have not officially tested it.Overall, I would purchase it again and recommended this umbrella to my mother in law.

Can't CLOSE the thing! But wait til you read what the company did to make it right!!
I bought this over a year ago and have used it about 6 times. I really like the size and color and especially the double canopy which helps a lot in the wind. HOWEVER, I have finally realized that there is one flaw with this umbrella that made me finally decide to toss it and buy another. It is nearly impossible to CLOSE. Today I could hardly get into my car in a downpour, fighting to close the umbrella so I could get in out of the rain. I had to get out, manually fold it shut, getting drenched in the process, and even then I was unable to get the handle to telescope. This has happened multiple times - why did it take me so long to give it up?!This is an addendum. After I wrote this review, the company, EEZ-Y Umbrella, obviously saw the review and, completely unsolicited, sent me a replacement umbrella. It is a different version, a lovely 58" golf umbrella and upon receiving it, I find no difficulty in opening or closing it. What a company! I can't rate the old umbrella higher but give great kudos to the company any my new replacement. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Great umbrella
I got this umbrella in red and love the color. It's sturdy composition make it one of the best umbrellas I've ever had. And it fits in my travel bag perfectly, taking up no space at all!Update: Turns out my umbrella had a bit of bent metal in a rib that was pulling my hair and not allowing the umbrella to close properly. As soon as I emailed the EEZ-Y Team about it, they responded in less than 20 minutes about how to fix it. They sent me a replacement and checked in to make sure it had arrived and was working properly. Excellent customer service!

Prompt Replacement
I purchased an EEZ-Y Compact TravelUmbrella from Amazon in 2017. Last week during a downpour I tried to use my trusty umbrella, but I discovered that it wouldn’t stay open. I had to prop it up with my hand so that I wouldn’t get soaked.I looked on Amazon for a new umbrella, and I read a review from Kathy. She purchased her umbrella in 2018, and she had a replacement within 72 hours!I contacted EEZ-Y via support@eez-y.com to inquire about the Lifetime Warranty.I was pleasantly surprised by how quicklyJoy responded to my request, and I am especially pleased that I received an identical replacement umbrella at no cost and within 72 hours! I purchased the original umbrella five years ago, and it is by far the best umbrella that I've ever owned. It lasted five years, after all!
