Siding Tools for 7/16 LP Fully Adjustable Siding Gauges One Pair

Once you learn how to use them properly they become very useful. There are instructions included. I was able to install siding on my house using these gauges and was able to maintain a consistent spacing. Also was able to install the siding by my self.

I bought a pair and used them to help side a neighbor's house. Loved them so much, I had a buddy buy a set. He agreed: great tool! Very easy to use and so incredibly helpful. Great quality in materials. Durable. Highly recommend these. So until evolution gives us 4 arms, these are all you need to side solo. Heck, they're equally as helpful siding with two people. Just be sure you get the proper thickness based upon the thickness of your siding.A special thanks to the inventor. You've changed the world with these. Bravo!Update 4/18/16: Still using the same Solo Siders I bought back in 2011 for 7/16 fiberboard lap siding. Love'em. I just bought a second set to make jobs even faster and easier. Can't recommend these enough.

First off these siding tools do work and are relatively simple to operate. One man can put up a 16 foot by 12 inch siding board without too much problem. They include some small plastic replacement pins with the tools because there can apparently be problems with tool breakage if you don't take the weight of the siding board off the guage whenever you make an adjustment. I have not broken my Siding Gauge, but that's because I have been careful with them. These things should be built sturdy enough to take the normal and expected harsh use on the job. At the price point these things are sold at I expect better.

Pretty happy with this product. Bought a set to put up 16 ft. LP smart siding. Can be a bit confusing figuring them out. Overall though, it made the job way easier. Can't imagine trying to measure out a 1", etc overlap without these, especially with the longer siding. Definitely glad I bought them. Little pricey, but they are well built. Took a lot of abuse during the job and stll look brand new.

These are Awesome. Sided my whole house with these with almost no help from anyone on LP smartside, 16 foot pieces by 12 inches. Easy to adjust so siding is level, holds it up almost perfectly balanced so you are hands feel to nail. If I paid $200 I would still love these. Saved me so much effort, super easy to use.

I purchased these because I’m a contractor and had no help to side a house using LP smartsiding. I looked at all kinds of options to side by myself. I finally came across these and decidided to give them a try and I was beyond impressed. They are extremely easy to use once you get the hang of them and also very durable. I even recommended them to a local lumberyard to start selling these.

If only they were wide enough as I thought they would be from the description to purchase. Only good for really one type of siding. Would be FIVE Stars if it worked. If I used thinner siding then these would be perfect.

I owned a pair of the original solo siders, and could not use them with the 7/16" beveled cedar I'm using for my house project. My fault, I did not check the specs close enough. These revised versions however, do the job beautifully, and allow me to correct for level with fine adjustments. These allow you to figure out the necessary reveal for a given distance (like, water board to window), then set the gauges to the value you need to get there evenly. Beats the heck out of shop-made gauges.
