Worked right out of the box and WOW (Wdws 11)
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Some other products noted issues with Windows 11. This appeared to meet the sweet spot of overall positive reviews related to reliability out of the box, price, and number of reviews. Was having an issue when viewing property CCTV camera's and clearly this will alleviate that based on the SIGNIFICANT increase in performance. Note USB-A adapter had slightly better performance results than Wifi so a USB-C adapter is the way to go. Ease of installation:Plug in and useEase of use:Plug in to C port and works immediatelySpeed:full Giga via Vz FiosStreaming capability:full GigaUsb port:C

Ease of setup and the quality and speed of the direct ethernet connection from my router
I was pretty skeptical about a USB to Ethernet, it plugged it in and instantly configured ots self, Work that way on my old IBM ThinkPad W520 business series laptop and the new Leovo Thinkpad one I just got from Walmart the core I 7 just plugged in it configured itself. An ethernet connection that smokes any Wi-Fi connection. And the peace of mind knowing you're on an ethernet connection from your router instead Wi-Fi giving you that extra level of security. It justs blows away Wi-Fi when you can connect directly to your router with an ethernet cable. Which I suggest a category 8 cable given everything now it is based on higher quality ethernet cables and heavier lying of shielding. Amazon has a great selection of category 8 indoor outdoor cables with goldens at amazing prices. But I give this a 10 out of 10 out of 5 stars and I'm a total computer geek a retired senior systems engineer and software analyst it's nice to see something that works exactly as advertised in that prive range, and so simple I didn't have to configure anything but turn off my Wi-Fi and there was my ethernet no latemcy internet connection

Needed drivers on Mac
This adapter claims to have plug-and-play functionality for Macs, but I had to track down and install special drivers to make it work at all. I’m using a 2019 MacBook Pro with an Intel processor, so maybe that’s the issue. It worked perfectly with my iPad with no issue. Good adapter. Just wasn’t as easy to set up as I hoped.

Needed to xfer data from old computer to new one.
I bought this inexpensive adapter so that I could transfer data from an older Mac to a new MacBook Air. The older machine did not have usb-c ports and I thought transfer over our home network might be slow. The adapter was perfect and the transfer went well.

Perfect for macOS + LG Ultrafine 5K Display users
This UGREEN adapter is the answer you're looking for if you're a macOS + Ultrafine 5K Monitor + fiber 1Gbps user, and you've experienced the following problem:- Full 1Gbps when a 10/100/1000 adapter is plugged directly into your mac,- BUT, ~500Mbps (or less) when the adapter is plugged into your LG Ultrafine monitor, using the monitor as a "dock".All along, I thought there was a driver/firmware issue with the LG Ultrafine 5K monitor. It turns out, it's just an issue that macOS has with certain older Realtek-based adapters. Using this adapter plugged into the monitor, I get a full 1Gbps. I believe adapters based on some newer Realtek chips work as well, such as UGREEN's 2.5G USB-C to Ethernet adapter (based on the RTL8156BG chipset). But I didn't try that one, so I can't confirm. In case you care, this device uses the Asix AX88179B chipset; as of this writing, I couldn't find that info anywhere on this page or the manufacturer's.

Did the trick
Just what I needed for my new laptop. Had no idea it would come without an ethernet connection.
