works perfectly with a 2 inch focal length
I got these for miniature work and inspection and they work fine with a few things to understand.First, these are plastic lenses, not glass. Be careful cleaning them.Second, these are made to mount with a clip. Works for everything I've tried them on, but if you have thinframe glasses, you might need to wrap some tape around the temple or hinge.Third, the focal length is very short. With both lenses, the focal length is about two inches. This doesn't mean they're cheap, it means they are small diameter lenses with short focal lengths. A lot of reviews pan these types of things because the focal length is so short, but really it's the reveiwers that don't understand what they're talking about.Mine are tight and hold position well. Everything is mounted on one long wire pin and held in place by spring friction. If it's somewhat sloppy or loose, one can use a tiny spot of blue locktite to stiffen things up, but not too much. Prior to locktite I'd give it a good cleaning to remove excess oils maybe. From looking at it, if you unscrewed everything, be careful, since it looks like it would shoot a spring and or some nuts into that dark place where your socks go.They work well for inspection, with a edge to edge clear image (i dislike plastic lenses) with no distortion at working distance. For work, they're fine even with the small focal length unless I'm soldering. I tend to not enjoy having 800degree peices of metal two inches from my eyes....Bottom line, for high magnification with small focal length and ease of use (if you wear glasses), these can't be beat. If you need something with a working focal length (8" or more) and higher than 3x magnification you'd probably be better off putting something together yourself or spending substantially more.

Looks good but ...
If you can clip them on properly and look thru just right, they can assist your view.

Authentic loupe for my Steam Punk wardrobe
I love the Steam Punk look. One of the hottest trends is welder's goggles with jeweler's loupes attached. Awesome, unless, like me. you wear glasses. Alternative? For me, it was to wear antique look wire frames with this nifty tool attached. Also, they are real jeweler's loupes so it adds to the authentic look. I do a lot of thrift shopping and flea market browsing and these come in handy there as well. With the loupe attached to my glasses I don't have to keep fishing in my bag when I want a closer look at something and I don't have to worry about leaving the loupe somewhere. I did find that attaching the clip upside down (pointing up instead of down) to the earpiece where it joins to the frame works very well and the clip holds better. Then I can swing the loupe up away from my eye when not in use.

Skip these and look for something of higher quality
There is a very obvious lack of quality on these loupes. One lens came with a cloudy imperfection and both of them look pretty dirty in general like they have been used a bunch before being sold. The clips that attaches to your glasses frame is poorly designed and will definatly not fit any thin-frame glasses and is not strong enough to really support the weight of the lenses. The magnification is great but it feels like it is much more than 5x or 10x and has a pretty short focal point so it won't magnify until you're already close to what you're trying to see.You can at least remove either lens and I found that removing just one of them made it lightweight enough for the clip to hold itself up.All of this said, they at least do what they're inteded to do, but I certainly would be fine buying some more expensive ones in the future if it meant a better design and some actual effort being put into quality.

very sharp images
this clip on loupes is made of good quality glass and does a great job of magnifying whatever small item you want to look at. I like that it has three levels of magnification, using one or the other loupe or using both. the only thing that I don't like is that both the loupes as so close together that it is hard to switch from one to the other. Great product.

Screws very tight
Meets my basic expectations, would be a five star but the screws holding the shaft to adjust the lenses to center on your eye are so tight that I could not loosened them using pliers, wanted to adjust them slightly further out on the shaft to better center the lenses on my eye.

Excellent loupe for people who wear glasses.
I ordered one of these and use it on my reading glasses for working with tiny stuff or nearly anything you'd normally use a loupe for. My daughter and wife saw them and I had to order two more. :D

This is perfect, it clips on to my reading glasses very ...
I wanted a handsfree 10X magnifier to help with removing splinters & thorns from my fingers after gardening & decorating. This is perfect, it clips on to my reading glasses very firmly and magnifies well. It is well constructed and very good quality for the price.
