Great weight scale!
I really like this weight scale. It's easy to use and seems accurate. It even works fine on carpet, though it may seem a little unstable on it's base when you stand on it, but it works just fine without weird fluctuations. This can read weight up to 400 lbs in KG or LBS. I like how the wall mount bracket can be set on top of a table or counter or screwed to a wall at reading height. I personally have it sitting on top of my counter in the bathroom at the back of the counter top with the cord hanging between sink and the toilet where it has an opening. The head unit (readout part) takes a 9-volt battery and is very light, seems too light to be honest. It easily flies off of the counter if you bump it since the coiled cord kind of pulls on it a little. So that's why I have it at the back of the counter so that I would stop bumping it and it flying and hitting the hard tile.I did find out through the customer service department (of the Scale manufacturer) that the 'head' unit is calibrated to the specific scale platform and you can't just buy a new head unit without sending your scale to them for one to be calibrated to it. So be very careful with it.This measures in 2 ounce increments. Though it is written out as like 140.2 lbs and not 140 lbs 2 oz so I really hesitate to say that it's 140 and 2 ounces since it's a decimal and that would be 2/10 of a pound which is one one ounce. One ounce is 1/16 of a pound. So I'm more inclined to say I weigh 140.2 pounds as an example. These types of scales (with a separate readout head that can be screwed into the wall at eye level) are great for those of us who are quite large and can't see their feet easily. That's the main reason I was shopping for one of these scales and I'm glad I chose this one. It was cheaper than the alternatives and seemed like it was quality. It is quality. I am happy with it.

Made in China and it shows... BUT I LOVE IT AFTER USING IT FOR A YEAR
The scale works, it tells the truth I have a problem with the mounting of the rather flimsy display unit. Who in their right mind would drill huge holes in their bathroom wall, their dressing room, or their trailer for that matter?I opted for the two little metal pieces that have to be joined to create a desk top stand, but in my huge assortment of tools I did not have a Philips screwdriver or drill bit tiny and pointed enough to fit the tiny Chinese screws. Even the optical repair kit did not have anything suitable. I have two options remaining, I can go to Home Depot and have them laugh at me or I can buy a piece of Velcro to stick the display on the wall.If an American quality control person had looked at that scale, he or she would have insisted on adding a tiny Chinese screw driver and a piece of Velcro.in anticipation of the problems an American consumer would encounter. I also think the pigtail phone wire connection between the heavy scale base and the flimsy display will not last very long.I think the scale is overpriced and I would not buy it again.UPDATE: After nearly a year of use I love this scale. The ease of use is unsurpassed. It is always correct. I use the desktop display on my dresser in the bedroom, no holes to drill!

Accurate and Sensitive to Weight Loss or Gain
I've owned many bathroom scales in recent years, searching for a scale that reads your weight reproducibly (many scales do that) but also accurately shows weight changes from day to day. This scale accurately and reproducibly detects changes in weight as little as 0.2 lb. If I hold a 1 lb weight, the scale shows an increase in my body weight of 1.0 lb. All of my previous scales including Weight Watchers and Taylor scales either would record no change in weight or require that I hold at lease a 2 or 3 lb weight to record any change. The 349KLX also measures a weight as low as 0.2 lb so you can use it to weigh items for your suitcase.A few minor points. The scale is not readable to 2 oz as the ad claims; a 0.2 lb readout corresponds to 3 oz. Also the scale auto shuts off after 2 minutes not 30 s as the ad states. Note that if you shift your weight on your feet, for example from the ball to the heel of your foot, the scale will give you a slightly different weight, about 0.2 lb difference, so you need to stand on the scale exactly the same way each time. The digital readout unit can be wall mounted or set on a surface. A weighted holder/bracket is provided. We put our readout unit on the toilet tank. This is an excellent scale which hopefully will last a long time. I wish I had purchased it a long time ago rather than wasting money on scales selling for under $50.

New Scales "Fits the bill."
After fighting a losing battle in the weight loss arena, I decided that part of my problem was inconsistency with the old scales that I had. It was an old doctor's office type that just wasn't accurate any more. It varied by 5-6 pounds based on how I stood or EXACTLY where the counterweights were placed. With my limited vision, I needed something easy to read so looked to the electronic scales with a portable read-out as a possible solution. The HealthOMeter Digital Scale is all that it has been advertised to be so far. I can't speak to its durability since I've only had it for about three weeks but otherwise, I'm very satisfied. The read-out is easy to see, the scales is consistent when I weigh myself 3-4 times in a row and it is within .4 of the scales in my doctor's office. My plan is to not use the scales portably so I attached the read-out unit to the wall at eye level. This makes it real easy for me to read. I'm not sure about the need for a computer interface but if you need it, it is available as well. My only complaint is a very minor one... I'd personally like the platform to be just a bit larger in both dimensions but that's because I'm a bigger person. I suspect that it is just fine for most people. All in all, I really like the scales and hope that it lasts me for many years. Oh yes, because I'm weighing myself literally every day and carefully monitoring my weight, I'm down over six pounds since the scale arrived. :)

The break easily, this is my 3rd one I've purchased. Batteries don't last long either.
