Velcro strap redesign?
Not as good as the ones from the previous year, the Velcro strap comes undone often. Don’t know if anything changed in the design.

Solid protection
Being a new rider, I've taken a number of spills that the giro dnd gloves just didn't match up to, leaving me scraped and bruised from even the mildest fall. These aren't motorcycle gloves, but provide solid protection for mountain biking in a form factor that isn't too bulky or cumbersome. My only complaint would be in line with what others have said about the Velcro strap; it's pretty poor. That being said, the fit is tight enough that I don't worry about them coming off; just an annoyance.I typically wear a large in most gloves, including giro, an these were true to size.

Yay. They fit, easy to put on/off, but after approximately 20 rides, seams are starting to fray
9" palm width puts me at the far end of L and flirting with XL. Went XL. What I like: tab to pull gloves on as opposed to the "slip on" style. Often with the latter style, I find it almost impossible and always awkward to successfully scrunch my hands into a smoosh small enough to get the glove onto the hand. Touch screen feature is fine, obviously the glove's finger tips need to be warm enough to fool the screen that there is a living or at least warm thing sliding around. Somewhat dubious construction, after less then 20 rides, seam threads are breaking. I tend to ride pretty hot and while these are not super thin, the fabric is holed/vented.

i expected more from GIRO
these ripped at the middle thumb knuckle seam on the second ride; maybe i should size up but the rest of the fit felt good.not the most touch screen responsive gloves, i feel like i struggle to get the thumb or forefinger to register on my phone so now i jsut take the glove off.Ill run these into thje ground and try a different glove after this.

Best overall gloves I've found for protection and comfort
Best overall gloves I've found for protection and comfort. If you want a good trail or all-mountain glove, look no further. These are very breathable for the amount of coverage. They are touch screen capable. Padding in the outer palm, and the pinkie knuckle protection is great. I ran into a prickly bush/tree with my handlebar the other day while trying to look back to check on a friend, and there was only a tiny scratch on my hand.1 star ding is for the weak velcro strap. It wore out after about 10mo, but considering how hard I am on these gloves it's probably to be expected. If you're doing XC biking and don't crash a lot there maybe better options for airflow. Like many of the popular glove brands out there, they run a bit small. So, probably best to order the next size up. Any other glove I've worn (latex, work glove, leather gloves, etc) I use a large. These require an XL, and probably still could use just a smidge more room.

THE BEST
I like them!
