Great value dashcam with 2.5k and 1080p resolution.. Also great customer service.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I've purchased several Toguard dash cams before (for different family members) and I've been very happy with the product and customer service I've received each time. This particular camera is no different. The CE70 is a rear view mirror camera and at 12 inches covers the rear view mirror in my car completely - unlike versions with slightly smaller screens. At 2.5k front and 1080p resolution, picture quality is great (this is one of the main issues with some of the cheaper dash cams). Inside the box there are all the relevant 3M stickers and clips for attaching both front and rear cameras and everything you need to hide the wiring. It also comes with a separate GPS unit if you also like to have even more information recorded by the unit. I drive a fair amount for a living and wouldn't now be without a camera. I've also managed to obtain reasonable savings with my insurance company for having a camera fitted. With this unit, the images are very clear and since this uses the whole mirror screen, you have a very wide field of view. The backup camera works perfectly and provides video that can help with reversing. The hands-free option of this unit is also a nice touch - I no longer have to reach up to turn off the screen or do other adjustments. The camera also turns on and off automatically with the ignition. When the unit is off (or in screen saver mode) the quality of the rear view mirror is great. Since this unit attaches to the rear view mirror, it is much less noticeable and in my opinion its far less likely to have your car broken into as a result. The 5 minute recording loop is also a good feature. It's easy to download footage by removing the micro SD card and putting it in your computer. Also, customer service has always been excellent. To summarise, I recommend this dash cam without hesitation. Keep up the good work Toguard.

High quality front and rear recording cameras with GPS and voice control.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This Toguard CE70 is a high quality dual system, combining a forward dash camera that attaches to a normal rear view mirror and a rear mounting camera that can be used for reversing (with parking lines) or continuous rear view streaming without parking lines. I bought it for use in a camper van that has no rear windows. I tested it in my car where it was easier to install on a temporary basis. When used for continuous streaming of the rear view (travelling forward) it is better than a normal mirror view in a van with rear windows. When using the front dash cam in a car you can switch off the display and the unit then works like a normal rear view mirror. The unit can record front and rear camera streams at the same time (if both are powered on). Both the 2.5k resolution front camera and 1080p resolution rear camera provide very clear images; in fact I found it difficulty to see much difference in quality so I will use 1080p resolution for normal use.Audio recording is very good and that can easily be switched off.The unit can be operated hands-free using voice control (you may have to use voice-recognition sampling in Settings to get started) - simple commands such as “Take a photo”, “Turn on screen”, “Show rear camera”, “Lock the video”, etc.Set-up is easy using the sensitive touch screen. The printed instructions provided are clear, although somewhat brief. The settings menu is awesome. You can imput your vehicle registration number so that it appears in recordings.Tips: 1. Make sure you set the correct time zone because if you only set the correct time and date it will revert to the default time zone time when you restart next journey. That confused me.2. You can take a photo shot without switching the camera mode if you are recording video.3. If you want to identify the registration number of a passing vehicle it is easy to do so by pausing the video in playback. This is probably better than taking a photo shot in most cases.4. Even though you can change the viewing angle up and down in the display this action does not alter the recording so make sure you have the unit facing the right direction before setting off. Both camera lenses are wide angle. One of my attached images demonstrates this using a photo from the front dash camera next to a photo using an iPhone taken beside the car about the same time at the same scene. The GPS module is accurate and easy to use. You should test it in Settings if the appropriate symbol does not appear on the screen when recording starts. The location co-ordinates do not appear on the live display while travelling but they will be embedded on the recordings and visible in normal playback. However, for Apple Mac computer users, be aware that the accompanying GPS decode software is for Windows OS use. The Video codec used is MP4, so if you download video clips to Mac they may not play in Apple’s native QuickTime media player, as I found out. However I had no problem playing the clips with VLC Media Player. Editing videos on a Mac may require other software.I am very pleased with this high specification CE70. Especially versatile for use in vans or cars with poor rear view.

More than you'll ever need in a dashcam .. unbelievable!
This is a gift for my son's birthday .. he already has a Topguard dashcam that has been superb and protected him in the past but it's his birthday and I wanted to upgrade him. This is absolutely brilliant and feature packed... How can so much technology be packed into something like this for under £100. My current dashcam from the brand leader cost over twice this and does nowhere near what this does! It's simple enough to install and can be used without wiring in as it has a built in battery ... However I'd recommend hard wiring it. The camera itself clips on your existing mirror and it comes with all the tools to hide wires behind the trim. The unit doubles as a traditional mirror, but the smart functions are amazing. It has built in time display .. saves you looking down at the car clock. It streams media and has a really top quality camera too! Please see the photos for a closer look and if you find the review useful please click on the Helpful button below 😉

Very Disappointed, not compatible with MacBook/Apple
I had high hopes with this unit given the cost but when I tried it I was very disappointed with the results.Firstly the footage from the SD Card in not compatible with Apple Native video apps, iMovie or Quicktime Player. It needs to be converted by a third party app first to be able to view it. Very inconvenient when you need the footage. Also unusual when you think Apple has such a huge following these days.Secondly the actual footage when converted bares little resemblance to the one shown on the Amazon purchase web page. Also the lens is more "Fisheye" than I would have expected.Overall very disappointed with the unit in general.
