Canadian Soup Hit The Spot
My husband is from Canada and he was thrilled when I ordered a case of his favorite pea soup! It shipped pretty quickly and he said it was "DELICIOUS" and tasted just like he remembered! I am glad I found a treat to remind him of his homeland!

Yummy
Like you remember, a little more watery but hey, fifty years since I had it last, nothing quite stays the same

Check the can size!
This pea soup is delicious! I didn't realize the can is "giant" size which is difficult to open witha standard can opener.

YUM!
Arrived more than a week before anticipated delivery date. My favorite canned soup. I have memories of my mother giving me this soup when I was sick as a child and have always equated it with comfort and home. Obviously, it must have been available locally back in those days, but the only place I've found it is with Amazon or with my Canadian friend who sent me some many years ago. I love this soup; it's as good as it was when I was a child many decades ago. It does not disappoint.

Not the same as it use to be
I bought the French Canadian Pea soup since 1952, when it was made in Manchester, New Hampshire. Since living in Florida, the last purchase was in July of 2018. The soup from 1952 thru 2018 was thick so you had to scoop out the whole peas from the can with a spoon, as it was very thick. Heating it softened it up and it was a wholesome soup, with lots of whole peas, and small pieces of ham for flavoring. My July purchase was was upsetting. The soup is now thin and watery with very little whole peas. When opening the can, the color looked the same, but had the consistancy of adding a half can of water to a can of Progresso soup, which you don’t add any water. From my growing up in 1952 until the previous purchase in 2018, it was always the same. July’s 2023 was a big letdown. If you haven’t bought this soup for a number of years, DON’T. You will be dissatisfied it isn’t like you remember it when it was made in the USA.
