Unfortunately my wife has just come down with a medical condition related to tinnitus. Among other things, this problem has ruined her sleep, causing her to awaken several times a night and then having difficulty falling back to sleep.She saw a neurologist who suggested, in addition to being tested in the next week or so, she should get a white noise machine.We came home from the neurologist's office and immediately began looking here on Amazon. I looked (on my computer) and she looked (on hers). I had picked about six of them, including this one but she picked this one only. She said that this < Housbay White Noise Machine with 31 Soothing Sounds, 5W Loud Stereo Sound, Auto-Off Timer, Adjustable Volume, Sleep Sound Machine for Baby, Kid, Adult -Wood Grain > is just what she wanted. It does not have a nightlight, which we do not need or want, and its wood-grain design is very nice and fits well into our bedroom.I immediately ordered it (around 4:00 PM) and, with Amazon's amazing shipping, it arrived around 8:00 PM that evening!We have now used it for two nights running, leaving it on all night. Her preferred setting is White Noise, Lowest Setting with a fairly high volume level.It has been helping her. She has been able to sleep for a much longer period of time and, when she does awaken, this machine overcomes the tinnitus-type problem.I had thought that having this white noise throughout the night would interrupt my own sleep but such has not been the case.The device appears to be very well-constructed of high quality materials and its design is superb. I do not know if the case is actually constructed from wood but, if it’s not, it’s the best simulated wood I have ever seen or felt.We are both very pleased with this device. There are two recommendations I could make to the manufacturer: 1) I wish its auto-off timer had options of 2 hours, 4 hours, and 6 hours, instead of 1, 2, or 3 hours (though we have been leaving it on all night - I just turn it off manually in the morning when we wake up), and 2) I wish its power input port were a standard USB C port rather than the non-standard one it uses; the port it uses would make replacing the cord, were it ever necessary, to be very difficult.However, regarding the last suggestion, the included power cord seems to be very robust and, as we take good care of our devices, I am sure that the cord will last for the life of the machine (which I hope is a very long time).I especially like the fact that it runs solely on AC power and has no built-in non-replaceable battery. (When those batteries "die" in some device - and they WILL die eventually - that's the end of the device, even if it is still working well.)Not that this attribute is too important to us, but this machine has many more (and many more good) sound options than any of the others at which I looked. (Of course the one we use is my wife's pick.)As I mentioned above, we are very pleased with this white noise machine and I will VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT to you.Especially at its price, just $26.99, Amazon's current price, I regard this machine as a genuine bargain.If you need or just want a well-made and well-designed white noise machine, I hope you'll consider this one. I just set it up, and I really like it. It works exactly how the instructions show. You get a nice choice of sounds; you will find something you like in particular; my favorites are the nature sounds; you can raise and lower the volume; the product is stylish, great tranquility.

First used this sound machine in an Vrbo. I love the sound of ocean waves crashing & this machine works great for that! I added it my cart after my first night & have been using it every night since. Its small so does not take much room at all on a nightstand. Has a timer button with multiple settings. Also has multiple different sounds, however iI only use the ocean waves crashing. Aids in the best quality sleep I've ever had in a long time.

This is the best white noise machine ever. Looks great, but besides that, it has so many options. I like to sleep with a fan on but sometimes there is a pulsating noise that irritates me. With this sound machine I can turn up the volume to drown that out. I love that you can let it go as long as you want (some phone apps have automatic shut offs). Small enough to pack on trips too. Great product!

We’ve been using the Housbay Glows White Noise Sound Machine for over two years and it still works great. It’s a dependable little machine that does exactly what we bought it for, helping with sleep and relaxation.The 31 sound options offer a nice variety, and the colored nightlight is a great feature for kids. While the sound quality isn’t the greatest, it’s good enough for its purpose. If you’re looking for a simple and durable sound machine, this is a solid choice.

I bought this for my son's room since I don't want devices in his room at night but he needs sounds to sleep. He loves the cricket sounds. There are a bunch of other sounds we don't use. I think the only improvement may be if they added ambient sound of low voice conversations like in a cafe, but that's really just nit-picking. It's good quality, and the sound quality is fantastic! It doesn't take up too much room on his tiny little night stand, either. Very easy to use, just read the manual and you'll easily get it. Buttons function perfectly.

Definitely contributes to a restful sleep by providing soothing background noise. Like the variety of options, from ocean waves to flowing wind, and its compact size makes it easily portable.

I bought this as a gift for a friend, but decided to order 1 for myself as well. I love the wooden look to it, it's a nice size, and has 31 different sounds...Personally I have only used the ocean wave sound so far...It has the option of setting volume and a timer. My friend loves it also.
