A nice and easy-to-use ice tray! U put in water!, inner bucket is ingenious, Cubes are very Cold!
It does take some time to use the right amount of water without overfill. but becomes easy and so much faster than ice-tray-pouring with practice. the cubes make for a very cold drink in a sealed vessel in the fridge. I like the contact free aspect of the release into serving cups. i don't have to deal with lost cubes like trying to free a tray. the unit does take more 3 dimensional space and does make less cubes overall but it makes up for its better use in places where a very flat area in a freezer is limited. 3 degree tilt on this unit is no deal breaker but for ice trays it usually is and results in faulty cubes. Very reliable as you get every cube every time. I got 2 and its been great so far. Using inner bucket for cubes is doable but hard to avoid melt of stored cubes in blue bucket. Use a insulated container in fridge for ice cubes to be used in 12 to 24hrs or store them separate in a freezer-safe vessel indefinitely

Ice Genie
The New Ice Genie it looks good and it makes ICE in about 4 to 6 hours. the Genie so far is makes 24 ice balls and you can store another 24 balls in the blue bin but on the box it says it makes 72 balls. Not sure were they get 72 balls when it only can make 24 at A time and hold 24 at a time. The Ice Genie has three parts the blue bin for store the extra ice and the part to make the ice and the cover. The blue bin goes into the part that makes the Ice. The problem I see with the item is when you fill the outer part with the water to make the ice the blue bin is some how starts to rise up and the water sinks to the bottom of the outer bin. you also have a lid to cover the Ice Genie but is hard to cover it and sometimes when you put the lid on it makes the blue bin rise and the water sinks. The price is not bad but this item does not work the way it should. One good thing about this ice maker is it saves space. The one that I got is New and Improved but I like to know how the old one worked as to me it does not look New and Improved. Have a bless day.

good size & number cubes, no fridge-flavors; wants 6.5" vertical space, but can use 5.5"
I was pleased with the size and quantity of cubes and the ability to keep out fridge-flavors. The instruction for filling was harder than I wanted, I preferred pre-filling the bottom just over halfway up the first cube (to the top of the first cross-channel) and then inserting the inner bucket.Unfortunately for me the height with lid is 6.5" but my min-fridge freezer compartment has only 5.5" of vertical space, because the lid is inexplicably designed to trap 1" of vertical airspace and cannot be pushed all the way down to eliminate it. Fortunately I could just replace the lid with plastic wrap for freezing and then leave the outer bucket off for storing (although the lid just sits on the inner bucket like a sheet, no fastening). I cannot think of any useful purpose of the 1" of vertical airspace designed into the lid, and I wish it came with something to seal the inner bucket without the outer bucket. But since I can make it work in 5.5" anyway, I will keep using it.

Worst product ever
I bought this product thinking that all the negative reviews must be from people who weren’t using the product correctly…I was terribly wrong. This is by far the dumbest product I’ve ever purchased. Such a waste of money. Everyone is correct that the blue part floats to the top because the lid doesn’t hold it on tight enough. I solved that by placing a big rock in the blue part before putting it in the freezer. (This is already ridiculous, right?!! I have to get a big rock from my garden to help me make ice!) So, the rock worked, but then once the ice freezes you have 1/3 of the bucket filled. And the bucket is tiny to begin with! So I guess you need to go through this process 3x just to fill the tiny bucket with the tiny ice cubes. Ridiculous. I’m going to use the bucket to transport ice to the beach to use in drinks, but I’ll just buy a bag of ice or a regular ice tray, I don’t want to spend a whole week making ice. Don’t buy this!!

Awesome Product (Verticle space in freezer!), Yikes to those who have trouble
Alright, so this was a late night drinking purchase but I don't regret a second of it. Quite simple, DON'T OVERFILL. For those who forgot their science lesson, ice expands. Remember snow? I was taught it expands 10 times the amount it actually was {AKA 10 inches of snow melts to one inch of water (this is my science lesson back in middle school 15 years ago)}. So, by using common sense, DON'T FILL TO TOP OR YOUR INSERT WILL BREAK! When getting the insert out after water freezes, you tap the cup from the bottom, it releases any ice frozen to it and pops right out. EASY! The lid is a hard plastic, so you have to use the rubber ice tray as the work around to get the lid one. EASY! When you have ice, you DON'T put it in the cup AND THEN fill the container up with water to freeze new ice. There is the thing called ice melt which creates a heat/cool friction which may break/crack your plastic insert. How to solve, USE A DIFFERENT CUP TO HOLD ICE! Lol man these ratings killed me with how people are just not educated or have common sense. Yes, this is my rudest rating ever but you confused people deserve it. This product is actually easy to store and the ice size is a pretty good size.

Not worth the price, breaks.
Originally this was a 5 star product imo. But after buying and having to replace it in a short time, it is not worth it. I first bought it in November 2021 and really liked it because it didn't have the weird flavor many have from the silicone. Then I found the blue inner canister had cracked on the bottom after freezing one day, and I know I never hit the bottom or did anything to cause it to crack. It broke in April 2023, so I used it for almost 1.5 years and had paid $30 for it. I was disappointed but purchased a second one in May 2023 and took great care to make sure the bottom never was tapped (even though I never did that with the first one either). Unfortunately this one broke, in the exact same spot as the first, and didn't even last 3 months. I paid $40 for the second one. I've spent $70 on these for less then 21 months of use. Not going to purchase a 3rd x!!I contacted the distributor (cannot find any where to contact the direct manufacturer) who takes credit for this "amazing" product. They said there was nothing they would do, not even an apology for the issue. Said have to take it up with Amazon. Which we know that you can't return anything after 30 days and who would buy insurance on a plastic ice maker!

It makes some ice cubes
It only forms 2 of the round ice cubes. The iner piece ( blue) keeps going up , so you ended up with only 2 rows if ice cubes and the rest is just pieces of ice that forms on the sides. Oh well!
