Very good basic mini amp
This amp, to me, is perfect for testing instruments and for on the go use. It's got enough knobs to play with for the basics, the speaker is clear and doesn't have any noticeable crackling or feedback issues, and it's built fairly sturdy for being made of plastic. It's definitely a "you get what you pay for" situation; don't expect it to have all the bells and whistles. It's a simple amp that does the job in a pinch.

it just for pratice
expected it to have a weak tone and I was right. if you are just looking for something to be able to hear yourself with this is a good option.

Great for quiet an in-travel practice
I really don't understand while someone would consider buying box amps like the ones from Leo Jaimz or Rockville for 50-80 bucks that sound pretty bad and tinny when merely for practice this little guy is pretty much sufficient. It's speaker is of course small and weak, while it actially has some sensible frequency response. But if you really need, you can connect it directly to your home audio system and enjoy full sound. For some time. I had a chain of 2 effect pedal boxes in-line with it, and was able to get a pretty good sound from my guitar. I was even able to connect my smartphone to it with an interface that you can buy for under $30 here and have all the effects you need through a DAW app on the phone. This small Joyo device is simply works as a pre-amp and an amp for you guitar. You can forget about its small speaker (that still sounds quite decently). This device costs less than $15, so it is money worth spent for the convenience of using the audio equipment most of us already have at our homes to play your electric guitar. This device is perfect for travel and for playing at parties or at a picknic outside (it can run on a 9v battery, so no need for USB recharging). It has a tone knob and even a knob to switch to the overdrive if you really like the dirty sound. I am not really sure what's the point of using overdrive on a small speaker though. Just the amp function with tone and volume control is really what most would need for practicing. If the home stereo system or tv with added effect pedals don't give you the sound you desire, then you will need to invest in a decent modelind amp like Fender Mustang or Line 6 Spider that are not that expensive $150-300) but you will get a nice sound and tons of amp emulations and effects preset combinations ("models") plus many more model downloads and controls directly from apps. I recommend this little Joyo device. You cannot go wrong with 15 bucks here. Get if if you are a beginner or a more experienced player who wants to have an inexpensive solution for parties, picnics or travel (not sure if many people travel with their electric guitars though).

Just okay...
Used it with my bass. It was fine for low volume pratcice, but had some feedback issues at higher volumes and the tones were off. But overall did the temporary job okay, aside from the negative sound feedback at times.

Small Price, Great Sound!erdrivfe souner
Much better than I expected for its low price and small size; for only 3 watts it's loud, clear, with a great overdrive sound! It would fit in most guitar cases, along with the guitar inside! Very satisfied and would highly recommend!

Very small, but pretty powerful.
You are not going to bring down the house with this amplifier, but if you want something you can practice with and pretty much put in a back pack or your gig bag, this is for you. It produces pretty clear sound. If you want to hear yourself in your room, then this will do the job. I was surprised at how small it is, even after seeing reviews. It is pretty tiny, but it cranks up to a decent volume for a bedroom or small living room, study, etc... The distortion is cool too. The only issue I had was if you happen to be clumsy or forgetful, you can yank it off of whatever surface you have it on if you pull the cable. It is super light so be careful. Battery power isn't the greatest and mine did not come with an adapter, but I bought one and works well.
